Jennifer Garner is like America's sweetheart. Whether it was being in one of the most famous teenage dramas 13 Going On 30 or doing something in the science fiction genre like The Adam Project. There is one thing that can be expected from the talented artist and that is that she will always put her efforts to save children above a lot of things. For her 50th birthday, she expressed that she held a big celebration. "I basically had a wedding for myself," she says with a laugh, according to PEOPLE. "I was so shocked that I was doing it." During the press tour for her new film The Adam Project, she revealed that she would be turning during the Easter weekend. She said, "I turn 50… yeah, Easter Sunday," adding that it will be a family affair. "My family has tickets to come out. My parents and my sisters, nieces, and nephews. I don’t know what we'll do, but I can’t wait."

And she made the best of the situation by inviting many people. At the party, she also asked guests to fill 5,000 backpacks each with food to feed a family of four for a program called Blessings in a Backpack. “I put everyone to work,” she says. And then they danced to Rocky Top by the Osborne Brothers. As a little surprise before her birthday, she also got to hear and see Donny Osmond come in live and sing to her. "My first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy— the one and only, legend in his own time, object of my childhood adoration and devotion— @donnyosmond showed up to knock my purple socks off. He took an hour and a half of his day to sit with me, sing my favorites, and give me a master class on how to be a class act. Thank you, Donny. 💜 Hi, @marieosmond. ☺️ I hope to meet you someday, Debbie. ♥️" she wrote on Instagram, expressing her surprise and happiness.

Apart from her birthday, this year, she had a lot to celebrate including her work with "Once Upon A Farm" and "Save the Children." She was originally an artist ambassador but is now part of the board, Town and Country Magazine wrote. She is dedicated enough to use her sparingly available days off to fly to where she was needed. "Jen had 24 hours," says Mark Shriver, the head of Save the Children. "I thought I was going to have to pitch her, because she’s been working like crazy this year, but she said, 'We’re past that. I’m going.'" She talks about her inspiration, "When kids feel safe, they play." Garner adds, "Play is the most therapeutic thing that can happen for kids when they’ve been through something traumatic. They can release some of the tension, they can release the trauma in their bodies."

She has always used her platform to help people and more specifically children without any political boundaries. "Who cares about what side of the aisle? You can’t tell me you believe kids shouldn’t have more opportunities." Jennifer Garner could have just been an actor but she has striven to become a beacon of kindness and compassion for all.
