The two of us, we lost each other and found each other," said Lopez.
Jennifer Lopez put up a cozy video of her and Ben Affleck on Instagram and the fans can't get enough of the duo, popularly called Bennifer.
In the heartfelt video, Lopez and her husband are holding each other close, with a frequently used audio clip on social media. "Guys I did it," the voice in the clip, soundtracked by Pink's "Try," says. "I found the person that makes me the happiest I have ever been." Both have big smiles on their faces. She captioned it with seasonal emojis: "🍁🦃♥️."
In a recent interview with Vogue, Lopez spoke about how the two reunited in early 2021. She said that she received an email from Affleck that a magazine had asked him about her and he wanted her to know that he had provided a rave. This conversation never ended between the two. Soon, they started visiting each other at home. “Obviously we weren’t trying to go out in public,” she said. “But I never shied away from the fact that for me, I always felt like there was a real love there, a true love there. People in my life know that he was a very, very special person in my life. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real.”
She added that they both are equally stunned about finding love again. "Sometimes you outgrow each other, or you just grow differently. The two of us, we lost each other and found each other," said Lopez.
"All we’ve ever wanted was to kind of come to a place of peace in our lives where we really felt that type of love that you feel when you’re very young and wonder if you can have that again. Does it exist? Is it real? All those questions that I think everyone has. You go through all these relationships, and you’re searching and you’re connecting and you’re disconnecting with people, and you’re like, God, is this just what life is? Like a carousel, roller coaster, or carnival ride? And then it settles. But the journey to that is the mystery for everybody.”
The duo got married in an intimate ceremony on August 20 with family and friends at the actor's Hampton Island Preserve. They had earlier been in a relationship in 2002 and got engaged, however, they broke up a couple of days before their wedding in 2003. “We just happened to be together at the birth of the tabloids, and it was like ‘Oh, my God.’ It was just a lot of pressure,” she said in an interview in 2016.
Lopez has 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with former husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck shares three kids with former wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, according to PEOPLE.
