Jennifer Lopez is celebrating her twin children Emme and Max Muñiz's 15th birthday. Lopez shares her twins, who were born in February 2008, with her former husband Marc Anthony.
Affectionately calling them her "beautiful, brilliant coconuts,” the Let's Get Loud singer shared a sweet video montage of rare moments with her kids on Instagram. “I am so proud of you both in every single way. You bring so much joy and happiness to my heart and soul. I love you beyond forever. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, #Twins,” she wrote. Some of the moments included pictures of them as newborns and cuddling up with their step-dad Ben Affleck.
Last year, JLO also paid tribute to her children with another sweet video montage on Instagram. Calling them Max and Lulu she said they "taught me the true meaning of life and have changed me forever in the most amazing way…I am so grateful for you both!!! I only hope I can be half of the blessing you have been to my life."
The date "2/22/22" marked a special moment for JLo who said it was "a rare once in a lifetime moment for humanity…today breaks open the door to a more fulfilling sustainable and aligned future…a day to move forward and stop living in the past. A rebirth. It’s no wonder to me because this day 14 years ago has always symbolized for me the first day of the rest of my life." Addressing Max and Lulu as her "babies" and her "sunshine" she promised to "love you forever and ever and ever… #UntilItBeatsNoMore."
Days before they turned 14 Lopez opened up to TODAY with Hoda & Jenna for an interview and spoke about her twins, who were growing up so fast. “They’re going to be 14 in a couple of days, and they have opinions about the world and their lives,” she explained at the time. “And now they see their dad, me as well, we’re in the public eye, what that means, what that means for them, school, everything."
JLo cannot be happier about blending her family with Ben Affleck's. After having found love a second time she revealed what makes the couple's connection different this time around to PEOPLE in February 2022 revealing, "We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things."
The couple seemed to be in the right place this time round and she called it "a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other," Lopez admitted. "We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions," she added.
