"I knew that you would always get back together," Guadalupe Rodríguez said.
Guadalupe Rodríguez, the mother of Jennifer Lopez, was strongly aware of the compatibility between her daughter and Ben Affleck. During her May 3 interview on the TODAY show, Rodríguez spoke about Lopez's restored relationship with Affleck, which she said she knew was bound to happen. "I knew that you would always get back together because I prayed for 20 years," Rodríguez said.

With a teasing nod, Lopez said, "OK," as if she had already heard that one. Jennifer said, "Let's keep going," anchor Hoda Kotb responded, chuckling, per NBC. Nearly 20 years after their initial engagement in 2003, Affleck and Lopez got back together and tied the knot in 2022. They split up in 2004 and later started families of their own with different people. But fate had different plans as the couple got back together again in 2021.

Lopez commented on her relationship with Affleck before her mother made her confession. Lopez referred to him as the "love of her life." This Is Me... Now, her new album, she claims, speaks about their long-lasting romance and captures the "moment in time when (they) first got together."
"I went on an incredible journey through my life for the past 20 years, and I think I've grown a lot," she said as the album really captures those moments of her life. "Falling in love and having that moment, then 20 years later trying to capture what this moment was, which was a very different thing," she added.

Is a second chance at love better than the first? Lopez pondered over the issue and said that with growing life experience, we tend to realize what's really important and go about in life accordingly. She loves what she does and since having had kids, that kinda changed for her. She added that having a family and kids, being married makes her think about all the things she is doing in life to really understand what is important and how much she would want to work. "I start realizing what I want to do with my life."

Additionally, Max and Emme, her 15-year-old twins, "love" Affleck, according to Lopez. She mentioned how he's a wonderful father and a father figure to her twins. He had been nothing but fantastic to his own three beautiful children and then to Lopez and her kids. She revealed that Afflect really takes on any challenge and getting along with kids and understanding them is no less than a challenge, for which the kids love him. "They appreciate him and so do I," she said on a concluding note.
