Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay have been married since 2013. They have worked together on a few projects as well.
In show business, many couples meet while working together, and Jennifer Love Hewitt is no different. The 41-year-old mom-of-two, who is pregnant with her third child, met her husband, Brian Hallisay, 42, on the set of a show, Love Bites, that didn't stay on the air for long. However, sparks didn't fly until later. They started dating in 2012 when they reconnected on the set of the Lifetime show The Client List, according to Hello! Magazine.
In 2013, the actress had announced that she was expecting her first child and that her then-boyfriend of 15 months and she were engaged. "We're so thrilled and happy to start a family," the couple had said.
Hewitt has always been open about wanting to have babies one day. In 2010, she had said, "I would love to have babies — one day. I am obsessed with babies!" She recently announced that her brood will be increasing in size.
Not only did she always want to be a mom, but she was also a hopeless romantic. "I've always had in my head in the rom-com — which I think is great quality. The problem is, romantic comedies aren't real. I'm at a place where I could get married, I could not get married. Kids are not something I'll give up on, that's something I really want in my life, but I just sort of started shifting my mindset a little bit," she had said in 2013, as per GoodHousekeeping.
That same year, she got her wishes of being married and of being a mom. In November 2013, she tied the knot with Hallisay and a few days later, they welcomed their first child together, Autumn. Less than two years later, they welcomed their second child, Atticus. She loves being a mom to her little ones and misses them when she's filming Fox's 9-1-1.
"My daughter thinks that work is the coolest thing she's ever seen. She loves the craft service truck. My son got to run around the lot, like, go into 'New York,' go up and down the stairs and take a picture in front of the police station, which he thought was super cool," she told Us Weekly. "It's just me who's a sap in my trailer, like, 'Why can't I see my babies?'"
The 41-year-old was able to spend time with her husband on-screen when he worked on 9-1-1 from 2018 to 2019, according to GoodHousekeeping. They were able to reconnect as working actors since he played the character of her ex on The Client List.
Hallisay is an alumnus of Cornell, where the 6'2 actor studied economics and history, as per IMDB. He has acting credits in TV shows like NCIS, Suits, Revenge, Mistresses, Privileged, and more.
For Hewitt, working with her husband was a "lovely" experience. She told Entertainment Tonight Canada in 2019, "We both had never been able to play characters like this in our careers, these characters with dark, twisted things to them. And, so, that’s been really fun for us."
She also believes that her husband and children make her a better actress. "I think before becoming a parent, love was something that sounded beautiful and was out there and portrayed in movies and felt at certain times when I met my husband," said the Ghost Whisperer star to GoodHousekeeping. "Then we very quickly started having kids, and the love that I feel for the person that allowed me to have that dream in having those children and the love that you have for your children, it opens you up in a way that makes you more vulnerable than you could ever possibly imagine," she added.
