As he heals from his snow plow mishap, Jeremy Renner is getting support from his loved ones. In a video released on Twitter on January 5 from his hospital bedside, the Hawkeye star is seen being attended to by his mother and sister, who are giving him a spa day and even washing his hair. “A ‘not no great’ ICU DAY, turned to an amazing spa day with my sis and mama,” he wrote beside the cute clip. “Thank you sooooo much,” he added.

“It’s the first shower. Definitely a week or so. Gross,” a drowsy Renner exclaims, his lips covered by a breathing mask and a shower cap on his head, per TODAY.

After a snow plow collision on New Year's Day close to his Reno, Nevada home, Renner was in a critical but stable condition in the ICU. The 51-year-old Avengers actor underwent surgery for his wounds, currently recovering from surgery in an intensive care unit. “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve" and others, read the statement, per NBC News. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Renner shared a picture of himself in the hospital on Instagram on January 3. “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. I'm too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all,” the 51-year-old actor wrote in the caption of his picture, which features him with significant facial bruising.

Renner was clearing a private road close to his property when he was struck by a PistenBully snow plow, according to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam. When the car started rolling, he went to speak to a family member, according to Balaam. “In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempted to get back into the driver’s seat. It’s at this point that Mr. Renner was run over,” Balaam said.

The area had just seen a snowstorm, and it took 40 minutes for rescuers to reach Renner, who was then transported by air to a hospital. “What I can tell you was there was no doctor on the scene. It was some good neighbors ... that came out with some towels and rendered some aid,” Balaam said, noting it’s not unusual for Renner to clear private roads. He continued, “He was being a great neighbor and he was plowing those roads for his neighbor because up there again, (the snow is) at 3 feet.”
