"Happy 10th Birthday to you! So very proud of you in every way," the actor wrote.
Jeremy Renner is expressing his admiration and affection for his young daughter as she turns ten. The 52-year-old star from the Avengers posted a touching statement on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 28, in honor of his daughter Ava's birthday, saying that her "hugs and love" helped speed up his recovery from the serious injuries he sustained in his New Year's Day accident.
"Happy 10th Birthday to you! So very proud of you in every way. Your hugs and your love, have healed me so incredibly fast," the actor started his message with a photo of the two of them, with Ava's face hidden by a heart emoji. "I stand up for you, and I am stronger than before because of you," Renner continued. "I am your Father, I am your protector, and I am only yours. I love you, Daddy," he wrote.
I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens pic.twitter.com/kzj2CLYdXA

Renner and ex-girlfriend Sonni Pacheco share Ava, per PEOPLE. Pacheco recently revealed that she had given birth to a daughter with former NHL star Nathan Thompson.
After a snow plow (estimated to weigh at least 14,330 lbs.) drove over Renner while he was assisting a family member with pulling a "stuck" car out of the snow, the actor was declared to be in "critical but stable condition." Renner, who survived the accident at his property outside of Reno, Nevada, fractured more than 30 bones and endured numerous surgeries.

Since the accident, Renner has been updating his followers on his recovery. The actor recently shared a health update on social media, sharing a video of him walking on a treadmill months after his serious accident. The actor, his family, and his friends have all used comedy to help the actor on his road to recovery. In an adorable video that he posted to his Instagram Story earlier this month, the actor's nephew Auggie did a flawless impersonation of his Avengers character. "So, Uncle Jeremy... I can do the thing that you do with your eyebrow," said Auggie, before tilting his head down and raising his left brow.
"Is that the thing? That it?" he asked his parents, who responded, "100 percent. That's what it is." Renner shared the video to Instagram, with the caption, "My nephew had more to share with his 'not dead uncle.'"
