Even after fourteen long years they seem to be head over heels in love.
Matches may be made in heaven, but once you meet the right person, what makes the relationship work is dedication, support, and love that two people decide to show each other. Jessica Alba and Cash Warren's over a decade long marriage is a fitting example of the fact that if two people want to make a relationship work, they will.
The couple first met on the set of Fantastic Four when Alba was dating someone else. While they started out as friends, she does admit that she was attracted to Warren's spirit. "It was kind of a love-at-first-sight thing, but I met him when I was dating someone else, so it started off as a friendship. I was actually attracted to his spirit and mind before it went to a physical place," quotes Panda Gossips.
The actress also emphasized that they believe in respecting each other's opinions and values. They do not believe in ego clashes that stem from poor communication between two people. This sufficiently explains that a steady relationship requires work and dedication to it. "You know, I think we have an incredible amount of respect for each other and we value each other's opinion and time, and I feel like we’re in it together, we’re not petty with each other, and we communicate a lot," she said.
The 37-year-old actress and the 40-year-old film producer got married in 2008 after dating for 3 years. They welcomed their first daughter Honor, one month after tying the knot. And then their younger daughter, Haven, and son Hayes were born. When she was asked what is it that keeps them going, the Mechanic: Resurrection star said, "We support each other. I think it's just nice to have someone who can just listen and be there for you and cuddle and … I don't know, we do a lot of downtimes, and being chill. It's important to have a date night once in a while."
Their love story that started off as a fairy tale has not lost its spark to date and their children make them stronger and bring them closer. Recalling a time when they decided to get married in a spur of a moment, she said, "I remember I looked over at him and we were in bed, and I was like, 'Do you have any meetings this morning?' She added, "And he was like, 'I don't think so.' And I was like, 'Should we get married?' And he was like, 'Ok,'" reports Daily Mail.
While they took a life-changing decision in a moment and had a very quiet and hushed wedding, the couple put their all in living up to the promise they made to each other in the vows. The Sin City actress also admits that Warren is a remarkable parent and it makes him nothing short of perfect as a partner. "He wants to watch sports, on the weekend, and so he [says to the girls], 'You can paint my nails if you let me watch the sports.'"
On his 39th birthday, Jessica posted a heartwarming birthday wish for her husband that again proved that the passing years have only made their bond stronger and brought them closer, not to mention, their three lovely children have a great contribution in their relationship.
"My babe @cash_warren #happybirthday -2004 we fell in love on a movie set and spent the last 14 years creating a beautiful life together. 2018 we are falling in love w our 3rd baby. You are the calm and voice of reason, always keeping things in perspective and seeing the beauty and light in every circumstance. I love you more than words could explain and I'm so proud to be your partner in life," she said.
