Joan Collins and her husband Percy Gibson left the house on Monday, December 26, dressed to the nines for a special date night in the city. The renowned actress, 89, and her producer husband, 57, dined on Monday at their favorite West Hollywood hangout, attracting paparazzi outside Craig's. As they entered the restaurant, she was spotted walking arm in arm with her husband of 20 years.
Walking alongside her husband in a fitted red suit, the Hollywood TV leading lady exuded elegance. The English actress's white top was well-complimented by the white flower she put on her lapel. She had gorgeous makeup on and a chic coif in her dark hair.
The Dynasty actress accessorized with a red clutch and rips. Her shiny heels had black tips on the toes, and she had silver earrings hanging from each side of her face. Her wrinkle-free skin gleamed next to her handsome other half, who was dressed in a beige suit and carrying his wife's bright white coat.
The two were recently posing alongside each other in a stunning poolside ensemble with Collins dressed in a leopard print. The actress posted the picture on Instagram while celebrating her followers reaching the 300K mark.
Collins doesn't feel like the age gap is a problem. "I think what is important is not age, but how you look, feel and behave," she says, given that she's battled ageist, sexist tropes of the industry. Despite having a more than 30-year age gap, the pair fell in love and recently marked their 20th wedding anniversary, defying naysayers. "I'm so lucky. He takes care of everything," Collins told Saga magazine of Gibson in September. "He takes care of my children and all our finances. He's the love of my life. It's a great marriage, a great relationship," Collins added.
Like all other marriages, the two have their moments, but she feels very lucky to be married to Gibson. "Of course, we have our little spats like other couples might do, but we’ve both got our safe spaces," she said. Explaining the importance of space, she added, "He has his office at home, I have my walk-in closet. And separate bathrooms. We’re really lucky. I realize most people can’t have two bathrooms."
She strongly believes the tide is turning as more and more senior women are being given prominent roles. "I think maybe at last producers and directors have realized that, if they are going to be showing real life in the movies, then they are going to have to have people who are older. Look at Helen Mirren and Judi Dench – they are far more popular than me," she says modestly.
Collins recently posed alongside Jaclyn Smith—another woman who fought sexism in the industry—at a Christmas party in December. The actress posted the stunning picture on Instagram captioning it, "A fabulous Christmas party @mark_zunino & @rene_horsch with the beautiful @realjaclynsmith... TV leading ladies of the '80s!"
