The 'Grease' actor just turned 69!
John Travolta is now 69 years old! In his acting career of over 40 years, he should definitely be proud of the cult classics he's made, but prouder of the beautiful relationship he shares with his family, particularly his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta. Bleu thinks of her father as her hero. On Sunday, February 19, the 22-year-old marked her dad's birthday by writing, "Yesterday marked the birthday of my hero," in the caption along with a touching Instagram image. "The most incredible father, friend and role model anyone could ask for," she added. "I love you, Daddy."
In response to his daughter's tweet, John Travolta said in the comments, "I love you dearest Ella. More than you know."
In April 2000, Ella Bleu Travolta was born to the Grease actor and his late wife Kelly Preston, who passed away recently in 2020 of breast cancer. Moreover, Travolta is the father to Benjamin Travolta, 12, and the late Jett Travolta, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 16, per Good Morning America.
Travolta has openly discussed his tight relationship with his children on social media over the years. Travolta recently posted an adorable photo of Elle and a cat, captioning it, "Once in a while you have to post something of beauty. (and the cats not bad either)"
When his daughter decided to follow in the footsteps of her famous parents and pursue acting, Travolta previously told PEOPLE that he couldn't be more proud of her. In the 2019 thriller The Poison Rose, which also starred her father and Morgan Freeman. "She is her own person. She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous," Travolta shared in August 2019.
"I don't know how she came to be, and I don't take any credit other than just adoring her. And maybe that's a valid contribution," he added. In fact, when Ella Bleu first came out with her song Dizzy last year, Travolta supported her by sharing the music with his followers on Instagram.
In exchange, the Dizzy singer frequently extols on social media the unique bond she shares with her father and the influence he has had on her life. "You make parenting look so easy, though it not always is," she wrote on Instagram in 2021. "You make every day better than the one before it. You bring joy to us when we are down. You are our best friend and we love you to the moon and back around. I hope to be even half as good of a parent as you someday❤️"
