Joy Behar Still Looks ‘Exactly the Same’ in a Suit She First Wore to ‘The View’ 18 Years Ago | “I Look Younger”

"I have no plans to retire," the talk show said.

Joy Behar’s still got it. The 80-year-old talk show presenter donned the same chocolate brown outfit she did 18 years ago on Thursday's broadcast of The View. She said the outfit still "sparks joy" and added that it was also a designer, as per PEOPLE. She said, "We all have a little label whore in us." The comedian was photographed wearing the same outfit for a picture session in 2004 and again in 2022, in side-by-side images shared on the show's Instagram account. As the jokes went on, Ana Navarro made light of Behar's switch from her "slutty" 2004  turquoise sandal stilettos for a comfortable pair of black shoes, and Sunny Hostin joked that her co-host looks “exactly the same” 18 years later, Behar disagreed: “I look younger.”

"I thought that was a suit you stole from my closet — 'cause now Joy steals my clothes!" Navarro said. Behar noted that while she could possess a special something, she may also have developed a more gruff attitude over time. She said, "I'm a little grouchier. Noises annoy me more," she mused. "I've always been a little grouchy, it's my personality. I believe that negativity is funny, frankly. Positivity is not funny." Plenty of viewers seemed to agree. “She looks even hotter now!” Jenny Mollen commented on the show’s Instagram post. “Joy is aging backward. She always looks classy,” a fan wrote, while another added, “She can still rock it!!!! Love you so much joy!” And a third chimed in with, “I love Joy’s style and joie de vivre!”

The native of New York City recently joined her cohosts on The View to commemorate her 80th birthday. Messages from Behar's famous pals, including President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, Jimmy Kimmel, Larry David, and Sarah Silverman, were featured in the broadcast and paid sincere homage to the star. "You know, this is what 80 looks like, okay! Gloria Steinem famously said 'This is what 40 looks like,' so I'm following Gloria," she said. "Last week, Judy Tenuta died — she was a wonderful, hilarious comedian. 72 years old, she had ovarian [cancer]. Bless her heart. So it's a privilege to be here." And don't expect Behar to retire any time soon, just like the suits in her collection. She told PEOPLE last month that she had no intention of slowing down.

"I just signed a contract so I'll be here for a while," she said. "I have no plans to retire." Behar also expressed praise for the series, at least generally speaking. "It's really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways," she continued. "Sometimes I don't believe that, as I've been here since the beginning, but we're the most-watched show in the daytime. Most-watched!" She concluded, "I'm happy to be a part of it. So no, I'm not going anywhere. I'm having a good time." As one of the first panelists on The View, Behar debuted in 1997. But Behar was fired from the show in 2013. She came back in 2015 after that. "We still don't know why they dumped me," she said. "They still don't know why I was sacked? That was very stupid of them. But they learned their lesson."
