Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston were "two best friends" who parted ways after being married for 3 years but have continued to cherish their friendship.
Justin Theroux is offering support to his ex-wife after she revealed her fertility struggles in a recent Allure interview. The Friends star shared a photo of her Allure cover image under which her ex Theroux left a comment of support: "👊 ❤️."
As we reported Aniston opened up about the scrutiny she's faced over the years on the pressure of starting a family. It was not that the 53-year-old did not want a baby but the painful pregnancy rumors that plagued her for years took a toll on her. "I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road," Aniston revealed in the candid interview.
"All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard," she pointed out. "I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would have given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.' You just don't think it." She continued, "So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”
There were many rumors in the media that suggested Aniston and her previous ex Brad Pitt (who she was married to from 2000 to 2005) split because she wouldn't have children. The “narrative that I was just selfish,” she told Allure. “I just cared about my career. And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point.”
As for Theroux and Aniston, the two were married from 2015 to 2018 and remain close friends. At the time of their divorce on Feb. 15, Jennifer's publicist, Stephen Huvane, shared a statement with POPSUGAR, revealing that their decision to go their separate ways "was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year." They also added that they are "two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."
So would the 53-year-old ever get married again following her two past divorces? "Never say never, but I don't have any interest," she told Allure. "I'd love a relationship. Who knows? There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, 'I need support.' It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody's arms and say, 'That was a tough day.'"
