It had been reported that he was getting too close to his co-star from the film Palmer and Justin finally broke his silence.
Not every man knows how to own up to his mistakes. Some just find excuses and brush them aside, continuing to hurt their partner. They never realize or acknowledge how badly they have hurt their partner and instead blame it on them. A rare few apologize for their mistakes, that too publicly. It takes an emotionally strong man to realize that they are wrong and seek forgiveness. While they might feel shame, they shouldn't worry about it if they are honest. After all, in any good relationship, honesty can help move on from the hardest roadblocks.
Popstar/ actor Justin Timberlake publicly apologized to his wife Jessica Biel on December 5 after photos of him holding hands with a co-star, Alisha Wainwright, surfaced two weeks ago. The singer/actor was seen at a club in New Orleans, where the actors had been shooting for a new film Palmer. The Sun quoted a witness saying that the duo had been cozying up at the club and their body language showed them to be a lot closer than colleagues.
There had been some wild speculations over the co-stars' relationship with some claiming that Timberlake was cheating on his wife of seven years. However, Wainwright's representative rubbished the claims. They told Cosmopolitan, "There is absolutely no validity to this speculation."
Justin has now taken to Instagram to share his side of the story. "I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love," he said, adding, "A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better."
"This is not the example I want to set for my son," Timberlake added. "I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be," he continued.
"This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it," he concluded, according to People.
Timberlake and Biel got married seven years ago though they have been together for 12. The couple, who has a son, Silas Randall Timberlake, 4, met at the 2007 Golden Globes. Timberlake had pursued her in an old-fashioned way.
"I did it the old fashioned way — by telephone," Timberlake said. "I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if I want something I stick to it. And in the end she agreed," he told Us Magazine. He previously told Vanity Fair that she was the "most significant person" in his life. "... She is the most special person, O.K.? I don’t want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me — for instance, her," he said.
The couple has previously broken up once, but only for three months. Once they reunited, they got engaged soon after. The singer/songwriter wrote a song for his beloved called Montana. These sweet gestures from him have always been a symbol of his love for her and what she means to him.
