The mother-daughter duo appeared in unison as they donned their royal attire with flair, elegance, and grace for King Charles's crowning ceremony. The two not only wore matching headwear but as a special highlight, their dress was woven by none other than Kate's wedding dress designer - Alexander McQueen who created an epitome of art and tasteful wear, per PEOPLE. The royal mother-daughter duo's attire was a collaborative result of the culmination of Alexander McQueen and Jess Collet. Princess Charlotte, 8, appeared as a vision in white, her gown had floral tones with subtle hints of lace, also etched onto the fabric to pay homage to the four nations that form the UK, Rose, Thistle, Daffodil, and Shamrock motifs were delicately sewen into the luxe material; a heartwarming gesture to take notice of.
Her mother wore a similar ensemble although with the same design concept of including representations of the four nations. Since the event was strictly formal, she also sported her lush blue and red robe, classics of British royal attire meant solely for the purpose of coronation ceremonies.
Princess Kate also made sure to pay homage to her late mother-in-law and wore the late Princess Diana's stunning diamond and pearl drop earrings followed by a statement piece - a stellar from the Royal family's vintage collection, the George VI Festoon necklace.

This signature piece was first commissioned by King George the Sixth himself in the early 1950s for his oldest daughter, the apple of his eye, and then-princess Elizabeth.
The king personally requested his jeweler, Garrad, to pick a total of 105 cut chrome loose collect-set diamonds for this very intricate piece, taken directly from the royal vault - a den of historical jewels, and to incorporate it into the necklace. These diamonds are a true heritage as it was taken from his mother, Queen Mary's crown.

But later Queen Elizabeth had ten of the 105 diamonds removed in order to reduce its length and has been spotted with the timeless artifact on multiple occasions including her visits to foreign countries such as Germany, Netherlands, and Malta. She also flaunted it at the State Opening 20 of Parliament in 2012 along with the State Banquet in 2018 where she wore the jewel last, reports Vogue.
The Princesses often coordinate outfits together that not only complement each other but also the men in their family - Prince William, Kate's husband, and Prince George, Charlotte's little brother, and the family's second son. All four of them were prim and proper for the coronation, outfits in perfect synchrony extending an aura of harmony. Just like the women, and although in royal attire, he still matched with his adorable 9-year-old son, Prince George.
