Kathie Lee Gifford is loving being a Grandma. Recently she shared an adorable photo on Instagram of her grandson, Frankie. In the picture, the 8-month-old can be seen absorbing some grown-up wisdom already as he flips through the book Wisdom on Leadership by John C. Maxwell while sitting in his high chair, reported TODAY. "Just a little light reading," the loving grandmother wrote. "Have a blessed day!"
Frankie is Kathie Lee's first grandchild and he is the child of her son, Cody Gifford, 32, and his wife Erika Brown Gifford. In the comments section of the photo, several fans noticed how much Frankie looks like his father, Cody. "MINI Cody," wrote one user, while another added, "He is the sweetest. Cody's twin for sure." Other fans also wrote, "He’s so adorable 🥰. Looks just like Dad !!"
Appearing on TODAY in July 2022, the former TODAY daytime co-host spoke about spending time with her grandson Frankie for her birthday. When she was asked about the infant's personality, Kathie Lee, 69, gushed, "He's Cody all over again, he really is."
On the show, Hoda Kotb also noted that the 8-month-old "looks exactly like Cody." Kathie Lee agreed and said, "He does, he looks a lot like Cody," and added, "And they are amazing parents."
The beloved TV personality also shared another photo with Frankie on Instagram last month. Here, she is seen holding Frankie close while seated on a couch. She wrote in the caption, "As January comes to an end, I'm reflecting on all of the love and joy it brought," she wrote. "I'm so grateful for my beautiful family, your endless support, and of course, the grace the Lord has shown me. Can't wait to see what God has next."
Frankie is named after Kathie Lee's late husband, football and broadcasting legend Frank Gifford. Recently, he even dressed like his grandpa. His mom, Erika posted this picture on her Instagram and wrote in the caption, "Big Frank —swipe—> Little Frankie❤️💙🤍 SO proud of Grandpa's team 🏈 Go @NYGiants ✨."
The little one will soon become a big cousin with the news that Kathie Lee's daughter, Cassidy Gifford, and husband Ben Wierda, are expecting their first baby, per PEOPLE. The couple said their vows in an intimate backyard wedding in June 2020 which was kept small due to the pandemic.
They shared the news of Cassidy's pregnancy in December 2022 on Instagram, with a picture of three Christmas stockings hanging against an elegant white fireplace, with the one in the middle being relatively smaller than the others. "Our little peanut arriving June 2023🙏 Jeremiah 1:5," Cassidy, 29, wrote in the caption.
"A whole lot extra to be praising Jesus for this Christmas," she added in the heartwarming announcement.
