Reeves was also applauded for his kindness and for how he "cares about everyone on set."
Rina Sawayama made her film debut in the latest Wick installment John Wick: Chapter 4 starring alongside "one of the nicest guys in Hollywood" Keanu Reeves. Rina Sawayama seemed to agree with the Internet's love for Reeves saying that her costar was the "captain of the ship" and killed everyone with kindness while filming the movie. The Japanese-British pop musician told PEOPLE while walking the red carpet at the film's New York City premiere, "Keanu cares about everyone on set, even the person that's passing him water." The 32-year-old singer also pointed out that the love for Reeves is understandable and has been transcending across generations. "Like even from my mom's generation since Speed," she said. "He is like the Internet. He's like the boyfriend of everyone."

The Send My Love to John singer also had some kind words over Reeves's relationship with his longtime girlfriend, artist Alexandra Grant. "They're wonderful," she gushed. "We actually were able to spend some time in Berlin ... had some dinners, and it was great group dinners and that was wonderful. Beautiful, beautiful as a couple, beautiful people."

The incredibly private couple who keep their relationship lowkey came across as "just sweet" and "really warm" to Sawayama. "They're just very normal, honestly," she said. The singer met the couple during a group visit to an exhibition of Grant's work while filming. "It just felt really natural and just human. I don't know again, like I've used the word 'celebrity' because often I feel like Keanu can switch off his celebrity and I've really felt that way when he was with Alexandra. It just, it was beautiful. It was honestly, it was like, a whole thing."
The two have known each other for years. Grant first collaborated with the actor on his first book Ode to Happiness, providing the illustrations. The LA-based artist also worked on Reeves’ 2016 book, Shadows. Grant opened up about her relationship with Reeves for the first time in an interview with British Vogue in 2020. The artist also admitted that her 2011 book with Reeves was a gift. “The book was made as a surprise, by me, for Keanu, as a private gift,” confirmed Grant. “All our friends sitting in the room got the giggles when I gave it to him – they said, ‘Please publish it!’ So that’s how we got into publishing.” When word of her relationship got out in 2019, she was amused. “I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating,” she said.
