Urban has decided to tour Australia instead of his 'The Speed of Now' World Tour.
Having a work-life balance is a struggle and more so when you are a celebrity. Recently, Keith Urban quit as the judge of the reality show, The Voice, to spend more time with his family amid concerns for Nicole Kidman's aging parents, according to The Daily Telegraph. Both Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, have reportedly decided to slow down their careers for a while to spend more time with their children and aging mothers.
The country singer joined as the judge of The Voice Australia in 2011. Musicians like Delta Goodrem and international artists like Seal and Joel Madden have joined him as judges previously on the show that premiered in 2012. Urban has been a judge on the show during its first, 10th, and 11th seasons. He has decided to tour Australia instead of his The Speed of Now World Tour. The tour will be based on the album he released in 2020. However, Urban's latest announcement doesn't necessarily mean that he won't ever come back on the show. "I actually don’t think of it as the end of a chapter at all because I love doing the show," the musician said. "I feel very close to everybody on the set and hopefully the door can stay open because I would jump back in a heartbeat,” as reported by Good Housekeeping.
Kidman and Urban have two children together, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. They got married in 2006 after Kidman divorced Tom Cruise. The couple is close to their children and their parents. They both often share pictures with their mothers on social media.
Recently, Kidman's mother reportedly had health issues, due to which she and her children decided to move closer to her. This has also led Urban to become conscious that their mothers are aging and he is worried about how much time they have left with both of them. Fans love the support that Kidman and Urban show each other. In a recent concert in Nashville, Tennesse, Urban was joined by his wife backstage and Kidman shared this sweet moment on Instagram.
An Instagram user wrote, "Do you know what I love the most about this photo? It’s the utter love the two of you share—you're close, your touching, you’re communicating, you’re supporting, and you're in it together. Love it!" Another user wrote, "You two were the sweetest last night - I love seeing a couple still thriving together- gives us all hope."
