Kevin Hart was in a horrific accident on September 1. While he recovers from his serious injuries, his good friend Dwayne Johnson stepped in to help him out.
Your true friends are probably the ones who know exactly how to roast you but will be by your aside when you're in trouble, dropping everything at a moment's notice. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently cut his honeymoon short for his friend Kevin Hart, who suffered severe injuries after a car crash. The actors are known for how "colorful" they are when ribbing each other.
Ever since Dwayne, 47, and Kevin, 40, worked as hosts together for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, they have been dishing out savage insults to each other, good-naturedly. They hit it off immediately and even acted in a film, Central Intelligence, together that year, followed by Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its next installment. Having been close mates for several years now, when Dwayne heard that Kevin was in a terrible accident, he showed up for his friend, according to Mirror UK.
The 47-year-old Dwayne married his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, who is the mother of two of his children, in a private ceremony in Hawaii on August 18. They were in Kauai on honeymoon when he heard about Kevin's accident. He decided to cut short his honeymoon and step up for his friend.
Kevin was supposed to be on the premiere episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show so Dwayne stepped in to fulfill the promised appearance. Dwayne said on Twitter, "When my son @KevinHart4real goes down with an injury, his big daddy steps in. I did leave my honeymoon early (Lauren approved cos she LOVES Kelly) and now me and Kelly are new best friends."

The accident took place on September 1 around 00:45 a.m. The Night School actor was seated on the front passenger side in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and traveling through Malibu's Mulholland Highway when it crashed. It went through a fence and fell into a ditch, according to E! News. He had bought the car this year as a 40th birthday gift to himself. The car was being driven by 28-year-old Jared Black while the actor and another passenger, 31-year-old Rebecca Broxterman, were passengers. Rebecca is Jared's reported fiancée and personal trainer to Kevin's wife, Eniko Parrish.
Both Kevin and Jared suffered back injuries, Newsweek reported California Highway Patrol as saying. Rebecca's injuries were minor and she said she would seek her "own aid," reported CBS.
A 911 call obtained by E! News says that a witness told the operator that the car's "roof [was] crushed" and the door "smashed." The witness also told the operator that he could only see two people, who were conscious, but fearful as they were stuck inside the smashed car. The California Highway Patrol said Kevin had left the scene to seek medical attention while reports say that his security team took him home.
Kevin has undergone surgery and faces weeks of recovery. His wife, Eniko Parrish, told TMZ, “He’s good, everybody’s good. Thank God.” She said, "He’s fine, he’s awake.” She's expected to stay at the hospital for a couple of days until he gets better.
