Kevin Hart and wife Eniko Parrish have been married since 2016 and they are preparing to welcome their second child together.
When we fall in love with someone, we hope that it lasts forever. We hope that our partner doesn't let us down and we hope to do everything to make our family stay together. Sometimes, these dreams crumble when a partner strays but in rare cases, they come back and apologize. They take ownership and make amends too.
In the Netflix original docuseries, Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up, Kevin Hart and his wife of four years, Eniko Parrish, reveal the ins and outs of the 2017 rumors that he cheated on her. The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor cheated on her when she was eight months pregnant with their son Kenzo, according to Today.com. He had admitted to it publicly.
The Ride Along actor was seen with an unidentified woman at a club in Miami, Entertainment Tonight had reported. He had initially denied that he cheated but had to apologize publicly to Parrish and his two children with his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, a few months later when there was an alleged extortion attempt, according to People.
Parrish said that she received a message on social media that contained a video of Hart with another woman. "I don't know who it was. They sent me an edited video of Kevin and another woman. I was pregnant at that time. I was about seven or eight months pregnant and I was having breakfast and I opened my phone and immediately I just lost it. I called him, I'm crying, I'm like pissed. Right then and there, I just kept saying, 'How the f––- did you let that happen?'" she said, as quoted by Today.com.
Around that time, the press was also speculating on their relationship and she felt "publicly humiliated." "Everything is on Instagram, everything is on social media. So it was an ongoing fight all the time. Every single day. I kept questioning him, like, 'If this is what you want to do, I don’t want to be a part of that,'" she said.
The model had to ensure that she was level-headed because she was heavily pregnant at the time. "I think that's the only thing that really got me through. I wasn't ready at the time to just give up on my family," she said. "I wanted Kenzo to be able to know his dad and grow up."
The added pressure was a "lot" for her but she acknowledged that they were past it. "We’ve been through it, we’ve gone through it, we passed it and he’s a better man now because of it. I believe in second chances. I’m all about forgiveness, and you only get two times. Three strikes you’re out, you’re out of here," Parrish added. "So, as long as he behaves, we’re good," she added.
In May 2020, Hart also opened up about the cheating rumors, as reported by Daily Mail. The 41-year-old actor said that his wife "came to an amazing conclusion." She said, "I like the fact that we have a family, that we have a household, and I like the fact that we now got a job to do to get better. That's what you owe me. You owe me the get-better." She held him accountable, Hart added about his wife, adding that it was no "walk in the park". He described her as "the strongest person in the world."
He and Parrish are expecting a baby girl together. On Mother's Day in 2020, he announced to the world that he is going to become a father for the fourth time. He has two teenage kids from a previous relationship.
"Happy Mother's Day to this beautiful woman & wife of mine. We love you @enikohart ....And we are thrilled about the arrival of our baby girl....Family of 6 WOOOOOOOOW!!!!
God is unbelievable. We are blessed to have you in our lives. All I can say is thank you honey," he wrote on Instagram.
She was also right by his side when he met with a serious car accident in 2019. He suffered spinal injury which took months to recover from. His attorney had told CNN that he was "committed to the physical therapy regimen and is getting stronger every day." Parrish was beside him through this difficult phase and is still with him for the long haul.
