"I have no words...just pure joy. My little girl looked unbelievable yesterday," the emotional father wrote as he reached an important parenting milestone.
With his 18-year-old daughter ready for her prom, Kevin Hart has just accomplished an emotional parenting milestone. On May 21, the 43-year-old comedian shared two gorgeous pictures of his daughter Heaven on Instagram as she got ready for her prom.
In the series of photos, Heaven smiled and posed with her proud father, who was dressed in sweatpants and a graphic T-shirt, carrying a glass of wine. She looked absolutely stunning in an emerald green, off-the-shoulder gown. In one photo, the father and daughter are seen holding hands, while in another, Heaven is seen walking with her father through a garden while carrying a camera and a pair of Converse shoes. "I have no words...just pure joy," the Get Hard actor captioned the photos. "My little girl looked unbelievable yesterday. Where does the time go," he wrote.
Along with Heaven, Hart and his ex-wife Torrei Hart have a 15-year-old son, Hendrix. He also shares Kaori, 2, and a boy named Kenzo, 5, with his current wife Eniko Hart.
Kevin really loves Heaven. In March, as she turned 18, the entertainer wrote a moving note expressing his love for his daughter. "And just like that my little girl is 18. Wow, where does the time go? So proud and so happy to see you grow into the amazing woman that you are! Love you my G," he wrote on Instagram.
Heaven Hart is eager to follow in her father's footsteps and aspires to be a comedian, according to Hart. The actor told PEOPLE in 2020 that she would have to wait until she was 18 to pursue a career in entertainment. “My daughter wants to be an entertainer so bad, I’m just holding her back til she’s 18,” the comedian explained. “I made a daddy decision to hold her back til she’s of age and then we can pursue whatever dream we want.”
Hart said he wants his children to lead normal lives. For Hart, it's critical that they pursue an education while they are still young and “enjoy being a kid.” He shared, “I’ve seen a lot of these kid stars, I’ve seen the way they come out when they’re adults,” Hart said. “You don’t want that warped mind mentality.”
He believes that she needs to “knock off the important stuff first,” but the entertainment industry's negative effects don't stop the proud father from bragging about her. “My daughter’s in love with comedy,” Hart said. “She’s actually very funny — she has it. She has funny in her.”
