While many of us try to master the art of eyebrow grooming on our own with the help of tweezers and other pieces of equipment, not many know the factors to take into consideration before trying this tricky skill.

Let's take a look at some face shapes and the eyebrow shapes that complement them the most.

1. Oval face - Soft angled arch

The most prominent features of this type of face are the wide forehead and the angular cheekbones. The best eyebrow shape for this face type is the soft angled arch, which means it goes from down to up with a slight curve bow towards the end of the eyebrow. Make sure that the angle is not too high or too low, otherwise, it could intervene with your facial symmetry and also it will no longer be the shape relevant to your face.

2. Round face - Hard-angled arch

The purpose of the eyebrow for a round face is to make it look longer. Therefore, the eyebrow shape that could give this finesse to your face is the hard-angled arched shape. From the start of the eyebrow, go up until the middle of it, and then sharply down. The lines that the brows create help make your face appear longer. It is important to make the angle hard because anything softer than that could defeat your purpose of achieving a longer face look.

3. Square face - Round shaped brow

If you have a square face, the purpose of your eyebrows should be reducing the squareness of your jaw and giving your face a uniform look. This illusion could be achieved with round shaped or curve bow-shaped eyebrows. The bow shape will help soften your jawline. But it is important not to make it too angular or too flat, therefore, you could follow the natural shape of your eyebrow while also giving it a bow shape in the middle. It is important that the roundness begins from the very starting point of the eyebrows; if not, you might fail to achieve your desired look.

4. Heart-shaped face - Soft S-shaped

This face type is quite similar to the oval type, only, you have a pointed chin. Therefore, it is important to give your face a uniform look which will also make your chin look a little less pointed. A soft S shape that has a bow shape beginning right after the starting point of your eyebrow shall help you achieve a uniform look. The length of this type of eyebrow is something to take care of. It should neither be too long or too short or the shape could look weird and unsuitable. Also, the curve shouldn't be too hard-angled, instead, try to make it as soft as you can because we are trying to achieve a delicate look which will reduce the hard edges of your face.

This is a rare face shape. The face is widest at the temples, the jaws are protruding, and the chin is short and pointed. It is important to achieve a symmetrical look that softens the hard edges of your face. Your face is angular and the features are pronounced, therefore, the purpose of your eyebrows should be to give you a more feminine and delicate look. The best trick to achieve this look is to follow the natural line of your eyebrow and make the lines as soft as possible. You could also go for a slight curve towards the end of the eyebrow but make sure it is very soft. The biggest purpose of your eyebrow is to give you a symmetrical and soft look which will allow your strong features like your jawbones and temples to show their magic.
