He apparently met the mystery woman in Australia where he spent several months filming the action movie 'Blacklight'.

It's been years since Liam Neeson spoke openly about his love life publicly since the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson. The Taken actor first met Richardson on the Broadway production of Anna Christie in 1993. The actress was married to producer Robert Fox at that time and she called the early phases of her growing relationship with Neeson “bad timing” since her marriage was also simultaneously coming to an end. However, the chemistry between The Parent Trap star and Neeson was undeniable. The two tied the knot in 1994.
Tragedy struck in 2009 when Richardson died from an epidural hematoma after a freak accident on a ski slope at the Mont-Tremblant resort in Quebec. Neeson went on to raise their two boys Micheál and Daniel on his own. According to Vanity Fair, in September 2010, Neeson dated British publicist Freya St Johnston for two years before their relationship ended. Neeson is rather private about his relationships so when he briefly mentioned that he fell in love after spending several months in Australia's Melbourne in 2020 filming the action movie Blacklight, it took everyone by surprise.
The actor told Australian show Sunrise hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr, “I loved Melbourne. I loved our Australian crew, they are fantastic workers. Every department was superb. They were their own people, do you know what I mean? They had a great sense of humor.” Neeson then added with a smile, “I made a couple of pals...I fell in love, but she was taken.”
While Neeson didn’t reveal any more information about the woman in question, he was happy to gush about his time in the continent and quickly switch over to other topics. It seems Neeson would rather keep his love affairs private.

One of the famous people he has dated in the past includes the legendary Helen Mirren. The two dated for years in the '80s and even lived together before splitting up. The two, who were in a relationship from 1980 to 1985, share a great fondness for each other to this day.

Speaking to AARP Magazine for its cover story the 77-year-old actress revealed the Taken actor was one of her many boyfriends she gifted homemade shirts made from scratch. “I did make one for Liam, oddly enough,” Mirren told the outlet. “We loved each other. We were not meant to be together in that way, but we loved each other very, very much. I love him deeply to this day. He’s such an amazing guy,” she added. The couple split in 1985, as their careers took priority over their romance.
