"I was sleeping and I heard her say to me, 'It's time for you to go,'" shared Lisa Rinna.
Reality star, Lisa Rinna, recently opened up about her decision to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, revealing that she believes her late mother, Lois Rinna, guided her choice. Lisa shared that she heard her mother's voice in her sleep, telling her that it was time for her to move on from the show. In an interview with the Evening Standard, Lisa explained, "She came to me. It's so wild because half the world will believe this, half the world will say, 'That's so weird.' I was sleeping and I heard her say to me, 'It's time for you to go.'"
Lisa's mother, who occasionally appeared on RHOBH, passed away in 2021 at the age of 93. Lisa consulted a psychic about her experience, who confirmed that her mother had communicated the same message to her. Sharing her experience with the psychic, Lisa revealed, "I told a psychic, and she said, 'Oh yeah, she's come to me and told me that. She wants you to be happy and follow your dream, but she says it's time for you to go.' I've never told anybody that, except for the psychic. I'm guided by my mom, for sure."
Lisa announced her departure from the reality show in January, stating that she would not be returning for Season 13. After eight seasons on the show, she felt that it was the right time to say goodbye. Lisa explained, "Who wants to leave a job? But I think we all knew it was time. Eight years of that kind of show... What more could I have done, besides generate more memes?" She also cited the increasingly hostile online harassment from some viewers as a factor in her decision, per TODAY.
Reflecting on the changing nature of the show's fan base, Lisa expressed her concerns about the level of negativity and threats she and her castmates had faced. She said, "The way the fan base reacts to the show now is not how it was when I first started... We were getting death threats. Some of the most horrible things I've ever seen in print in my life, and it's a reality show! It's a stupid show! I thought: 'It's time to go.' I'm not sure how much longer that can exist in the zeitgeist, to be honest with you."
Since leaving Lisa has been keeping herself busy. In March, she made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a fun and retro bowl-cut hairstyle, photos of which she shared on Instagram. She also walked the runway at Copenhagen Fashion Week in February, exuding confidence in a black bodysuit and leopard print coat.
With her mother's guidance and support, Lisa has embraced new opportunities and ventures, leaving behind a legacy of memorable moments and an enduring influence on reality television.
