Nobody is ever prepared to say goodbye to their loved ones, especially if it's their child. Whether your child passes away due to years of illness or right after birth or you experience a miscarriage, there isn't much we can do to steel ourselves against the barrage of pain that comes after. It's a difficult time for the parents and all we can give them during this time is support and privacy, so they can cope with it.

However, their joy did not last long as their two-weeks-old premature baby Violet Eva Carazo passed away.

"It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels. We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that we are forever thankful," McGinity and her boyfriend Gonzalo Justo Carazo told PEOPLE exclusively in a statement about their daughter, who passed away March 20. The couple added, "Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated."

In one post, he wrote, "Happy One Week Old Birthday to our Baby Girl Violet. Thank U for making me a Dad and bringing me an entire new perspective during your first week of Life. In an Instagram post, she said, "I’m so excited that we are having a baby. What a big blessing. Good things come to those who wait. Our bundle of joy is coming April 2020." She shared the message with a photo of Carazo kissing her baby bump. The due date was in April however their baby came at 33 weeks. There have been cases where babies born at 33-weeks have made it, however, Violet wasn't one of them.

A few days before Violet was born, the mother said that she had stepped out with her boyfriend after having a "rough few weeks." His company lifted her spirits, the mom said. Previously in February, she had shared a photo of her ultrasound and revealed that she was having contractions.

"She is not ready. Please pray that contractions stop," she wrote. Meanwhile, Carazo said, "Experiencing this entire journey has taught me a lot about life and has opened up my eyes on how magical this journey of becoming a first-time parent really is. I can’t wait to meet our baby girl!"

Her followers showed her some love and support on Instagram during this trying time. One person wrote, "You both are amazing. I hope you heal fast Christy." Another said, "Keeping y'all in prayers especially during this crazy messed up world right now!!!"

McGinity and Carazo had been looking forward to 2020 with excitement and their posts showed that. "Arms wrapped around me by the man of my dreams and my best friend. #2019 was crazy and I’m so excited to see what happens in #2020. Like @gonzogrape11 says to me #2020isouryearbaby," she said in one post.

One of the posts she shared on Instagram hinted that she knew that there would be trouble with her pregnancy. "Tick Tock here runs the clock. #thirdtrimester #10weekstogo #HopeICanMakeIt," she had captioned it, showing that she was unsure about reaching nine months.

We hope the couple is able to get through this tragic loss. Our prayers are with them.
