Despite her reclusive existence, the famous singer occasionally performs a sentimental song for the audience. A Twitter user shared a video of Minnelli singing one of her hallmark songs, even though the effects of her age are visible. While her speech was clear, her hands were noticeably trembling. The video was loved by many fans from across the platform who are a fan of old classics.

The singer had been hospitalized in 2000 after developing a severe case of viral encephalitis, which put her on the verge of death. Her motor capabilities were severely impaired as a result of the illness. She opened up about this difficult period in her life to NBC News.

"I couldn't walk and I couldn't talk, and they told me I wouldn't… ever again. After I was told that, everybody left the room and I turned my face to the wall and started to go 'A - B - C.' I want to live. I have always wanted to live," Minnelli told the outlet. The singer was left dependent on others, frail, and unable to fend for herself. She gradually healed, and in 2022 she attended the Oscars. She, on the other hand, never wanted her followers to see her in a wheelchair. Despite the fact that she was in front of the cameras for the first time in years, her peers gave her a standing ovation.

The 76-year-old seemed to be eager to go, actually "rooting and tooting" her way to the event in the Instagram video. The graceful Minnelli leans in towards the camera at one moment to produce that unmistakable vibrato and adds her own vocal percussion. The post captioned, “Just found this on my phone. Liza on her way to the Oscars, happy and excited,” was again loved by the followers over the platform.
