Ford had started the journey from New York to pick up Kay from Tennessee and then landed in Los Angeles.
Harrison Ford celebrated his wife, Callista Flockhart's birthday in style by flying an $18.8 million Citation Sovereign jet to Los Angeles on November 11, Friday. Moments after landing, the actor could be seen sitting in the cockpit, headset on, receiving instructions air traffic controller for the last taxi over the runway, as reported by NY Breaking via Flash BackGrid. Then Ford opened the cabin entrance door and helped his mother-in-law, Kay, in climbing down the steps and exit the jet. The actor checked the plane's exterior before opening the cabin door. Ford looked dashing in navy blue trousers, a light blue shirt tucked in, and black sneakers.
Meanwhile, Flockhart stepped out of the jet while holding one of the family dogs by its leash. Flockhart is known for her title role as Ally McBeal in the popular series. The actress wore worn-out black trousers, a gray sweater, and white classic Adidas sneakers to keep her look casual like her husband. Additionally, she had a middle part in her dark brown hair that was styled straight just past her shoulders. The family of three then quickly got into an SUV that had just parked next to the jet and left, seemingly to celebrate Flockhart's 58th birthday. Ford had started the journey from New York to pick up Kay from Tennessee and then landed in Los Angeles. Kay is retired and lives in Tennessee, some 225 miles east of Nashville.

Ford and Flockhart had first met in January 2002 at the Gloden Globe Awards. They fell in love and got married in June 2010. Ford, who has been doing flight training since the 1960s, has been involved in several accidents and close calls during his piloting career. In 2017, Ford mistakenly landed on a taxiway at Joh Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California, and flew over a Boeing 737 commercial airline that had been carrying 100 passengers. The actor avoided disciplinary action but the F.A.A asked him to complete awareness training. The private jet is one of the largest of Ford's prized collection, with a top speed of 825 kmph and a range of 3,200 nautical miles, in a hangar, according to New York Times.
In 2015, he got injured when a World War II-era training plane he was piloting crashed onto a golf course in Venice, California, shortly after taking off from Santa Monica Airport. In 2000, while he was landing in Lincoln, a wind gust blew Mr. Ford’s plane from the runway. The aircraft, a Beechcraft Bonanza, sustained minor damage, and neither Mr. Ford nor his passenger was injured.
