Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline are celebrating a huge milestone in their relationship. The country singer, 46, and his wife, 42 have been married since 2006 after dating on and off again throughout college, reports PEOPLE. Sharing a funny snap of the two with Bryan in sunglasses and a mullet, he wrote, "Happy 16th anniversary love. It is so amazing sharing this life with you. Thank you for putting up with all my craziness I throw your way. I’ve loved you since the second I saw you. It’s truly remarkable what we’ve done together. I love you too the moon and back and here’s to 100 more. Love you."

Caroline also paid tribute to their love with a video montage of the couple set to Barry White's song "You're the First, the Last, My Everything. Sweet 16!!!! Happy anniversary Love Bug…16 years ago we had zero clue what we were stepping into. The good, the bad, silly moments and stupid arguments. It's been worth it all and I love you more every year! ❤️ @lukebryan," she captioned the montage.

The two met while they were college students at Georgia Southern University at a local bar. They dated on and off for a while and split up after Bryan graduated. The Country On singer told PEOPLE in 2018, “We’d date a little in college, and then we’d break up,” he explained. “And then I would be devastated. We’d get back together, break up. Then she would be devastated. We finally decided we were not going to break up anymore. And then I graduate college, and she has two more years, and then we break up again. It was like the Dark Ages for both of us,” Bryan continued.

"We were apart for 5 and a half years, which was kind of a blessing because I went off to Nashville, got all this going," the American Idol judge said. "She finished college. She went and actually had a career." In fact, Caroline was the breadwinner in the household before Bryan's career took off. "When we got married, her career supported me when I was making about $10,000 a year," Luke added. "She was the one bringing in the dough."

Now the couple is parents to two boys, Thomas "Bo" Boyer, 14, and Tatum "Tate" Christopher, 12. They also took in Bryan's nephew Til, 21, and nieces Jordan, 27, and Kris, 24 after his brother, Chris, died in a car accident in 2000 and his sister, Kelly, passed away seven years later.

In 2014, Kelly’s widower, Ben Cheshire, died. “Just when we started picking up the pieces with my brother, then my sister — we lose my sister,” he told  ABC's, Robin Roberts. “I’ve watched my family go through ebbs and flows where we get mad at God and we get mad at why this happened.” "We never thought twice about it," Caroline said of her and Bryan's decision in 2017. "You know, it was never something that he and I had to sit down and talk about. 'Should we take this on?' We just did that."
