A similar incident in which anesthetist Giovanni Quintella Bezerra was held for assaulting a pregnant woman was reported by Globo. The 32-year-old reportedly put the woman under a lot of sedation during a C-section procedure before attacking her, according to reports. Bezerra was arrested on accusations of rape after being seen on camera assaulting the woman at the Hospital da Mulher in So Joo de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro. He used to provide enormous doses of sedatives to expectant moms, and his employees had begun to be wary of him. The employees reportedly changed the delivery room so they could take pictures of the act.
