Gus' face lit up as he held his baby sister in his arms, with his parents by his side, in a beautiful family moment.
The This is Us actress, Mandy Moore recently shared a picture of her elder son holding her newborn baby in his hands with one of the biggest smiles on his face, PEOPLE reported. Sitting beside him is Moore's husband Taylor Goldsmith. Little Ozzie is swaddled in a blanket and was cozy as his elder brother and parents looked at him in awe. Moore captioned the post, "Gus relishing his role as Big Bro 😎" Many people wrote loving comments for the family, including Julianne Hough who wrote, "Heaven Wow!" while Matthew Koma added, "Buddies."
Previously, she shared with PEOPLE that her first son Gus is "entirely unaware" that he's about to become a big brother. "I say baby brother all the time and point to my stomach, and he'll say, 'Baby brother,' but he has no idea what's going on," she says. "His level of awareness of the world is just starting to kick in which maybe is for the best because we won't have to deal with the innate jealousy that sometimes comes along with bringing a new sibling into the world." Teasing a world of shock for Gus, she adds, "We'll figure out how to best introduce the two of them, but yeah, he has no idea what's about to hit him."
While she has been expecting another, she did find it refreshing to spend more time with Gus instead of touring. "It's just been so lovely to find a rhythm just the two of us," she says of being home with Gus as musician Goldsmith is on the road with his own band. "To have these last few months where I can just solely dedicate to him and hanging out and again, finding our routine together, it's just been the best." She announced at the time that she would be canceling her In Real Life tour. "It has been an honor and an absolute dream to return to the stage again this past month, performing for all of you. When we booked these shows, I wasn't pregnant and although I truly thought I could power through, the way we are traveling (long hours on the bus and not getting proper rest) has caught up, taken its toll, and made it feel too challenging to proceed," she wrote on her Instagram.
The Tangled actor has also shared that she is excited for the baby to come in time for her "favorite time of the year, fall leading into winter." She also expressed how she wants to introduce her kids to the most "quintessential" parts of the holidays this year with her son Gus and her baby boy on the way. "The holidays are fantastic just in and of itself, but the idea of being able to live through your children's experience now, it's the best," she says. "There's nothing like it." When she revealed the news of her pregnancy, Moore shared a picture of Gus wearing a t-shirt reading "big brother," PEOPLE mentioned. She captioned it, "One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited. Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can’t wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo"
Now that he is here, Gus is already becoming the most excited big brother.
