Moore took to Instagram to announce that she and Goldsmith, lead singer of the folk-rock band Dawes, are now parents to a baby boy. "Gus is here," Moore captioned a picture of the baby in a blue onesie. "Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T," she wrote.

"So happy for the both of you. You and Taylor will be terrific parents … but you told me awhile ago, so,” Moore’s costar Sterling K. Brown commented on the social media upload, while Chrissy Metz wrote, "The Goldsmith Three!" according to Us Weekly.

The actress has been sharing beautiful maternity photos of herself. She captioned one of them "almost there."

In another recent photo, her impatience to be able to hold her baby shows. She captioned the photo, "Still waiting for this little man to make an appearance (seriously the waiting and anticipation is almost too much- I kid). Anytime you’re ready, sir."

She had also shared in February that there was a medical condition complicating her pregnancy. "Weekly platelet check at the hematologist," Moore wrote, as per USA Today. "My platelets have dropped exponentially during pregnancy and it's sadly altered my birth 'plan.' Any other pregnant folks in the same boat??"

In an interview with Romper, she talked about her struggles with getting pregnant. She consulted a fertility specialist eventually and the doctor suspected endometriosis.

"We did ovulation tests, all that stuff," she said. "I was fully prepared to go have surgery and fix my uterus and hopefully get rid of the endometriosis, if it was there. It was nice to have a plan and to know, OK, well, this is why I haven’t been pregnant yet," she said. However, she became pregnant before undergoing the surgery.

The mom-of-one says that it was the process of getting pregnant that made her realized that she didn't know enough about her anatomy. "I guess I understand why doctors tell you, like, ‘Oh, just try for a year, and then if nothing happens, you can start sort of investigating.’ But I was like, man, I wish I had known before. It would have been a game changer had I had that information," she had said.

She wasn't aiming too high when it came to her expectations of getting pregnant. "Because of this issue with my uterus, I was very hesitant to believe it and put any stock in it. I sort of was holding my breath until 12 weeks," she revealed.

About Goldsmith, she said, "I think he’s been suited to be a father pretty much his whole life. He’s been gearing up for this. Like in the morning, it’s funny, I’ll reach for my phone and he’ll reach right for whatever baby book he’s reading."
