Mariah Carey also shared a picture of shopping for the season with her daughter Monroe.
The yuletide celebration of the Queen of Christmas is incomplete without her kids as Mariah Carey posts a series of cute pictures on her social media during this festive season. The 52-year-old singer is a mother to 11-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe and she made Christmas day extra special for her kids by arranging a "surprise midnight sleigh ride" with Santa Claus. Mariah shared some sweet images on her Instagram where she can be spotted posing next to a black and red sleigh with her kids onboard and wearing matching Christmas pajamas sitting next to Santa Claus.
According to PEOPLE, the All I Want For Christmas Is You hitmaker also shared a picture of shopping for the season with her daughter Monroe. The caption read: "Merry Christmas Eve! Little shopping spree before we watch the special tonight on CBS! Thank you to everybody that made this a reality for us!”
Mariah Carey closed out Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade last month and performed her evergreen hit track All I Want for Christmas Is You as her kids accompanied her while dancing. She wore a heavily accessorized red mermaid gown with a long train studded with more than 80 carats of diamonds from Hamilton Jewelers' 110-Year Anniversary Capsule Collection. She topped her look with a sparkling tiara.
Carey’s kids not only accompany her on a sleigh ride but it seems her daughter is following in her mom’s footsteps these days. According to Page Six, Monroe recently joined her mother on stage during her performance to a sold-out crowd in Scotiabank Arena of Toronto where Carey was continuing her Merry Christmas to All show. Monroe harmonized with her mother and even wore a matching white ballgown as Carey gushed out about her daughter.
“This is my baby girl, here. Eleven years ago, I got the greatest gift,” the Grammy winner announced to the audience.
So, far Mariah Carey has it all figured out when it comes to co-parenting her kids with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon. "They're a lot, but they give me so much love in return. I wouldn't be the same person without them. I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk," Carey told PEOPLE.
And there is no surprise that she has been rightfully crowned as the Queen of Christmas in the media as her songs hit new milestones each year during the yuletide season. According to Billboard, Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You has been charting at No.1 for 10 weeks now and she is the first woman in the industry with three songs that have led the chart for double-digit weeks.
