Matthew Broderick is gushing over his wife and the love of his life Sarah Jessica Parker more than ever. The actor recently shared on a talk show that it was love at first sight. Broderick recently discussed the moment he decided he wanted to live the rest of his life with his wife Sarah Jessica Parker on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The actor claimed that it was one of his simpler selections to date. Later, Cohen questioned Broderick about the aspects of the Sex and the City actor that he most admires. "Humour and wisdom," the actor remarked during the interview.
James Wilkie, their 19-year-old son, and Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, twin girls, both 12 years old, are the couple's children. Broderick and Parker were married in 1997 as per PEOPLE. They are now sharing a stage in the Broadway show Plaza Suite. Three distinct couples check into the Plaza Hotel in the movie starring Broderick and Parker. It is the first sustained acting endeavor the two have undertaken together. On the 2020 SiriusXM radio program Quarantined with Bruce, Broderick discussed performing with his wife while complimenting Parker's performance and her acting approach, according to the outlet.
"Oh, the first time I met her. I saw her walking down the street and thought 'That's it,'" the American actor stated as he revealed the moment he saw Parker for the first time and knew that she was the one. "You know, speaking of how talented my wife is, I should also say that getting to do this play, even though we only just did it in Boston for a little while ... she was so, so good in it," he said as he went on to count the qualities he adores in his wife.
"I really had never acted with her onstage and hadn't really acted with her at all. And I was just reminded of how funny and smart and what a great comic actor she is — or actor, never mind the comic part," Broderick shared commenting on his wife’s acting skills and her ability to make everyone around have a hearty laugh. "She's very good at it. So I hope everybody gets to see her do it," Broderick added jokingly. The interviewer went on to ask The Night We Never Met actor what was the most thoughtful gift he ever got gifted from Parker.
To this, the actor replied, “A trip once. A surprise, blindfolded and suddenly I was in the Caribbean.” To which the interviewer replied saying, “Oh Wow!” The actor also shared that for him the favorite kind of date with Parker would be a plain dinner night, chatting and eating together in each other’s company. The couple has been married for 22 years, so one might assume that the attraction has waned a little, but they still find ways to make things interesting, such as going on date evenings.
