The day when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will officially step down as senior members of the royal family is fast approaching. March 31, 2020, will mark a historic day when the younger son of the future king, Prince Charles, officially resigns from the very identity he was born with.

Earlier, in a tearful announcement, Harry had revealed that it's the constant speculation and judgements by the media about his wife and family that have driven him to take such a big decision and he did not have any other options.

Following their big announcement, speculations about their future plans started gaining momentum. While the couple had made it clear that their departure will not halt their philanthropic work and charity organizations, what profession will they take up was not clear.

Although, it was intermittently reported that Meghan Markle will return to her life in showbiz but nothing was confirmed back then. But we now know that Meghan has indeed chosen her old life as her new path. More than three years after quitting her acting career for love, the former Suits actress is back to the industry again with a Disney project, NY Post reported.

A new trailer dropped by Disneynature confirms that the 38-year-old former actress will narrate the upcoming documentary Elephant, due to livestream on Disney+ beginning April 3. According to NY Post, Meghan had accepted the gig and recorded for it before their decision to leave the royal household surfaced.

Proceeds from the film will benefit Elephants Without Borders, a charity believed to be close to Meghan and Harry’s hearts. The plot of the documentary revolves around an African elephant Shani and her boisterous son, Jomo as their herd travels through the Kalahari desert to make a pilgrimage hundreds of miles away, confirms MailOnline.

As per MailOnline, the couple was looking to collaborate with Disney for quite some time now. In fact, last year, the Duchess joked that she and Harry attended the premiere of The Lion King in London, to "pitch" for work, footage from the event revealed shows the Duke touting his wife's voiceover skills to Disney boss Bob Iger at the occasion in July.

In the behind-the-scene video, Duke Harry is seen pointing to his wife and saying, "You do know she does voiceovers?" A surprised Mr Iger replies, "I did not know that," before Harry continues, "You seem surprised, she's really interested." This short conversation reveals how supporting and secure Harry is as a husband. No doubt, a strong woman like Meghan chose him to spend her whole life with.

Then the Disney boss says, "We'd love to try. That's a great idea." And now that the trailer of Elephant is out, it would be safe to say that Harry too had a contribution to make in Meghan's return to showbiz. Also, the MailOnline reported that Simon, 36, from Canada, owner of the public relations firm Command Entertainment Group, claims his agency was "flooded" with "huge" offers of work for the former actress in the wake of Megxit.

Not just that, the bosses of The Simpsons have revealed they want the duchess to appear in their popular comedy. The program's showrunner and executive producer Al Jean had revealed, "We’ve talked about Harry and Meghan. I hear she wants to do voiceover work. So if they’re reading this, give us a call," also reported by MailOnline.

Well, looks like Meghan's return to show business will be quite smooth given that she already has a well-established celebrity status and has been approached with so many lucrative offers. Needless to mention, her stint with Disney also hints at a bigger project in the near future.

As of now, the Duke and Duchess are quarantining with their 10-month-old son Archie in their waterfront mansion in Vancouver Islands, Canada.

Their last appearance at a royal event was the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey where they were reunited with the royal family. Meghan was all smiles at the event but Twitter users noticed a bit of tension on the faces of Kate and William.

However, one can hope that a decision to protect one's family should not be taken too harshly and their need to lead a low-key life away from the royal camp should be respected.

As far as Meghan's re-launch in her old career is concerned, her fans know that she is a talented artist and she would shine again!
