Recently, pictures of Melania walking away from Trump while he posed after they arrived in Florida gave rise to divorce rumors. However, a source believed to be close to the family claimed that there's no way that Melania would leave the former president. Talking to The Times, the source revealed, “They don’t believe in the lovey-dovey-type stuff. Not at all."

R Couri Hay, a society publicist and "friendly acquaintance” of the family also claimed that even though there are speculations about the former first couple heading for a separation, he doubts Melania would go ahead with it. "The likelihood is 99.99% they will stay together. I’d truly be shocked if Melania formally separated and divorced from her husband," he said.

“She grew up in a pseudo-communist difficult life. When she married, she wanted stability, romantic stability, financial stability, and through it all the one thing still standing is that marriage," reported The Mirror.

After Trump lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, one of her former aides said that the former first couple's 15 years of marriage had probably come to an end, reported The Daily Mail. Omarosa Manigault Newman said, "Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce. If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he's in office, he would find a way to punish her."

During an interview with BBC, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff who was friends with Melania for 15 years and her senior adviser said that Trump and the former model and first lady were in a "transactional" marriage. "I do believe it's a transactional marriage. Donald got arm candy."

"Melania got two dynamic decades. She was a young model, she didn't have success yet. She met Donald, she married, she became an American citizen, they had a son, and 10 years after that she's the First Lady of the United States. I do believe it was a magic moment, and I also believe it was a made-for-TV moment."

According to a 2019 report of Business Insider, in the book Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography, CNN correspondent Kate Bennett claimed that Melania and Trump slept in different rooms under the same roof during his tenure in the White House.

In the book, she disclosed that while Trump slept in the master bedroom on the second floor of the White House, Melania slept on the third floor. She also had a "glam room" dedicated to her everyday grooming and gym needs. Bennett also noted that this made the Trumps the first couple to have separate bedrooms after the Kennedys and the Johnsons.

50-year-old Melania claims that contrary to the rumors, she has a "great relationship" with her husband, as per The Daily Mail. Trump also admits that the two never argue. In fact, in his farewell speech, the 74-year-old former president described his wife as a “woman of great grace and beauty and dignity," reported Express UK.

Following the elections, both Trump and Melania stayed low. However, according to the outlet, while leaving the White House last week, things seemed alright between the former first couple after onlookers noticed Melania's "scowls" turn to smiles as she left Washington for Florida, holding Trump's hands.

In her farewell speech, the former first lady thanked American citizens for their "love and support" and added, "You will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all, God bless your families and God bless this beautiful nation." The author of The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump, Mary Jordan, described Melania as someone who never backs down, adding, “You criticize her and she just likes to come out swinging.”
