“It’s a different deal when you’re older,” Griffith continued. “And we’re old. I don’t mean it badly, and I don’t mean it like, ‘Oh, poor me,’ or anything like that. It’s just a different deal when you’re an older person. It’s different from being the hot stuff to being the old hot stuff.”
She also shared a post on Instagram in 2018 revealing that she was "bandaged again after having dermabrasion, the final step to fix the now removed basil cell skin cancer." The Oscar-nominated Griffith is spending more time with friends and family and slowing down the pace of her career by taking on fewer acting jobs. Griffith reportedly advised her daughter Dakota Johnson against acting, despite so many members of the family being in the industry. This includes not just Griffith and Hedren but also Dakota's dad, Don Johnson, and former stepdad, Antonio Banderas.

They wanted me to have as much of a childhood as I could." When the 50 Shades of Grey star was asked how old she was when she knew she wanted to act, Johnson said, "Nothing old. Zero old. I couldn't wait because I grew up on set. My parents were always working with amazing artists, and I just loved it," she said. "I wanted to be a part of it so badly."
