As a final act of kindness, Sime donated her organs. A person with barely 24 hours to live received her heart.
Shannon Sime, a 29-year-old hairdresser from the UK, who moved to the Gold Coast area in Australia suffered a stroke on August 5th, 2022. Three days later, tragically passed away.
Just six weeks before her unfortunate death, she had given birth to Harlow, her first child with her husband Scott Sime. After the sudden passing of his young wife, the father is now a devastated single parent left to raise their daughter alone.
As a final act of kindness, Sime donated her organs. A person with barely 24 hours to live received her heart.
Scott shared his struggles in a touching Facebook post, "The most extraordinary person I have ever met is Shannon. She has significantly improved this planet, and knowing how many great effects she has had on individuals all across the world gives me peace."
The pair moved from the UK to South Australia ten years ago. They have built a life together since then, spending extended amounts of time in Adelaide, Melbourne, and most recently the Gold Coast.

In his statement, Scott expressed his "eternal gratitude" for his wife's decision to "live life" with him. "I'm amazed by all the amazing things we were able to achieve together and how even after everything she's been through, she was still able to find the strength to live each moment like it was her last, and so selflessly to be who she is," Scott stated.
Shannon was "loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her," tributes from family and friends who are mourning her passing, said. Daniel O'Hara, a close friend of the couple, said Shannon's stroke came "out of the blue" and it was a big shock, especially because she showed no signs of illness until her stroke.
"It was extremely tough, we were so close to them but as far away in Adelaide as they are on the Gold Coast," O'Hara told Daily Mail.
Sime is remembered as an extremely selfless person who spent most of her Christmases feeding the homeless and cutting the hair of victims of domestic violence.

Now, O'hara and his wife have set up a GoFundMe page for Scott to help him financially while he takes some time off from his crane operator job so he can take care of his daughter in the absence of his late wife.
"Shannon had a zest for life and fitted more into her 29 years than the rest of us could manage in a lifetime. She had a passion for adventure and travelling, something her and Scott wanted to share with Harlow as she grew up," the page read.
"As a widower to a new born baby, Scott will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. Any support we can provide to him and his beautiful daughter will go a long way in helping them cope with their tragic loss as they learn to live without their beautiful wife and mother," it continued.

"He's a shell of the man he was and I think he's struggling with even knowing how to be a father. But he's incredibly strong. I couldn't imagine having to organize a funeral for my wife when I was 29, but Scott did it, and basically all by himself," said O'Hara.
"If we can learn anything from this situation it has to be to hug your loved ones a little bit longer and that little bit tighter, tell them you love them and go find your next adventure because none of us know what day will be our last," the message on the fundraising page concluded.
