There are surprises and then there is this one. Devan Williamson, 26, was shopping for her wedding dress at Lia Bella Bridal Salon in Fort Myers, Florida. In the video she shared with The Independent UK, she is seen walking out of the dressing room with her dress on when she notices her mom sitting on the couch in the room. She exclaims, "Mommy!," running to her mother's arms. It is quite an emotional video. Her mother, Diana Williamson, flew over 700 miles just to be with her daughter and surprise her in such a way, according to Talker. Devan got engaged in July 2022 and instantly started planning a wedding ceremony. She works as an account manager in Cape Coral and scheduled her wedding ceremony for September 2023. Devan was under the impression that her mother wouldn't be able to come and see her get a wedding dress. Diana, a respiratory therapist, and teacher, flew over 700 miles from her home in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, to Fort Myers, Florida, so she could be with her daughter and help her pick her wedding dress. Devan was extremely happy about this surprise. She said, "We both were just overcome with happiness and surprise."

The couple has decided to get married only in 2024 so they can plan the wedding of their dreams. Speaking of the moment, Trevor said, "It felt like a dream afterward. We kept calling each other our fiancées. It was just giddy happiness that’s still here now. You could call it a new engagement high." They both had already sized the other person for rings and were sure about getting married, they just weren't sure when it was going to happen. "The trip was my first time out of the country, so I really didn't know what to expect," Trevor said. "I was so surprised. I was caught very off guard, but I was really so happy, tears were running down my face, and he was crying too. It was actually a surprise for Albert as well. I hadn't told either of them anything."

Speaking of how the trip corresponded exactly with their personalities, Trevor mentioned, "It was exactly like us. I'm more of a free-flowing person and Corey is very detail oriented, so it's very us. He even made a spreadsheet to plan for the entire trip." The duo had been dating each other for the past four and a half years.
