"It’s such a blessing that I’ve had six infants from simply three pregnancies," she says.
Pregnancy is a wonderful journey, and Jolene Mckee, 32, and her husband, Andrew, 33, from Brooklyn, New York, has experienced that thrice in five years. As normal as that is, what is fascinating is that Jolene gave birth to twins all three times. Her youngest set of babies are around three months old, reports News Chant. Jolene and Andrew are now parents to Peyton and Paige, five, Abigail and Andrew, three, and the latest, Aiden and Jaiden.
This was not something they foresaw, says Jolene, but she's forever grateful to be a part of the family of eight. "I by no means envisioned myself with an enormous household. I believed I’d solely have perhaps one or two children."
"But it’s such a blessing that I’ve had six infants from simply three pregnancies," she said, adding. "When I found out I was pregnant with twins for the third time, I completely accepted that this was what I was meant to do," per Newz.
They have three girl children and three boy babies. “I feel very fortunate to have had all three combinations, girl twins, boy-girl twins, and now our boy twins."
Before giving birth to her first set of twins, Jole suffered a miscarriage. "‘I used to be so scared to go to the docs for the scan after going via the ache of miscarrying."
Three months later, she conceived again, and with twins. In two years' time, she was pregnant again and had a hunch she was carrying twins for the second tome, but once it was confirmed, she and her husband were in shock.
However, her pregnancies were quite easy, albeit with a few hiccups here and there. “All of my pregnancies have gone very well, but it was very different the second and third time, being pregnant and at the same time being an active mother. But I had to keep going.”
“After giving birth to Abigail and Andrew, it was a challenge to have two sets of twins,” she says. “After getting pregnant for the third time, I was 100 percent sure it couldn’t be another set of twins. I thought it would definitely be one baby. Then, when we found out it was twins for the third time, we were in shock.”
Usually, it's people who undergo IVF that tend to have twins, but for Jolene, it's because she has an overactive uterus, which causes her to release two eggs at once. To manage six children together must be a lot of hard work, but how wonderful it is to have a family this big at such a young age. Almost a miracle, isn't it?
Does she plan to have more kids in the future? Well, she's not sure, but for now, she completely adores her big family. "I love our family and I wouldn't have it any other way."
