Nathan Larson was caught recently after "grooming" a pre-teen girl for two months and convincing her to leave her home to travel with him.
Trigger Warning: Pedophilia
It's horrible enough that some monsters take advantage of women and abuse them, but there are even those who also prey on little children. One Virginia man was arrested recently for his heinous plan to kidnap a 12-year-old girl from her home in Fresno, California.
40-year-old Nathan Daniel Larson, who unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2018 and admitted to being a pedophile and white supremacist, had also previously threatened to kill a US president. He also spent time in jail for the same. Nathan was caught recently after "grooming" a pre-teen girl for two months and convincing her to leave her home and travel with him. He traveled all the way from Virginia to California to abduct her on December 14.
He took a ride-share to her home and persuaded the girl to sneak out at around 2 a.m. The ride-share driver dropped them off at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. He disguised the tween in a long wig and directed her on how to avoid attention. "He told her to act as though she was disabled and unable to speak to ensure she would not converse with anyone at the airport while making their way onto the airplane," said Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims, as per ABC News.
When the child's parents noticed that she wasn't at home, they called the police. An acquaintance of the alleged victim told investigators the child had been in touch with Nathan. Fortunately, the girl was found within 12 hours after her parents reported her missing from their home. Detectives tracked down the 40-year-old, who had disturbing plans in place, and rescued the minor girl when their flight to the East Coast landed in Denver for a layover, officials said.
"As a result of this investigation, we have a family who is going to be celebrating the holidays and they won't have an empty chair. They've got their little girl back with them," Margaret said during a news conference on December 19, reported ABC News.
The girl was uninjured but evidence of "inappropriate activity" between her and Nathan was found. "That's going to help bolster the current charges we have through the DA's office," Margaret said.
Nathan, who is from Catlett, Virginia, had served a prison sentence for threatening to kill the president of the United States in 2008. He is now facing felony charges of kidnapping, child abduction, soliciting child pornography from a minor, and meeting a child for the intention of sex.
The suspect had met the victim online and had manipulated her during the course of time. "He used multiple social media platforms to communicate with our victim from Fresno," Margaret alleged. "During the past two months, Larson was able to convince the Fresno girl through manipulation and grooming to sending him pornographic images of herself," she added.

She called the case "extremely disturbing" and "very far-reaching across our nation," as per USA Today. Detectives, who searched his home in Virginia, found electronic devices that showed he ran a website that encourages pedophilia and child rape, authorities said.
The 40-year-old man, who ran for a Virginia congressional seat in 2018, sent a letter to the Secret Service in 2008 threatening to kill either George W. Bush or Barack Obama, authorities said, according to The Washington Post. In 2009, he pleaded guilty and served 16 months in federal prison. In the letter, which was his "campaign manifesto," he revealed he was a fan of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. He wanted to restore "benevolent white supremacy," rebuild the patriarchy, eliminate child labor laws and legalize early marriage. He was also an advocate for the legalization of incest and child pornography.

Back then, he was asked if he is a pedophile or just wrote about pedophiliac sex fantasies. He told HuffPost, "It’s a mix of both. When people go over the top there’s a grain of truth to what they say."
The Sheriff said that he may have preyed on other children. "It's obvious that Larson had the ability to be in contact with children across the nation and the willingness and the means to travel to abduct them," Margaret was quoted as saying by ABC News. "We believe that there are other victims out there."
