"Trust me there's a lot of people that I could've gotten pregnant that I didn't," said Cannon. "The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant."
Nick Cannon has opened up about fathering multiple children, with the actor reportedly becoming a dad for the fourth time in one year. The Masked Singer host said none of these children were accidents and said he was "having these kids on purpose." Cannon shared his thoughts on having more children when City Girls rapper JT told him to "wrap it up," referencing the use of contraception. The singer and host made the comments on his Power 106 Los Angeles radio show, reported PEOPLE. "I don't have no accident," said Cannon.
It appears he became a Dad for the fourth time in a year, this time with model Alyssa Scott. On Father's Day, she appeared to post a photo of him along with her baby bump. While Cannon's face was not visible in the photo, the tattoos of the man were uncannily similar to Cannon's. "Celebrating you today," she wrote. She welcomed a baby boy on June 23 and posted black-and-white photos of herself cradling the baby on Instagram. "I will love you for eternity," she captioned the pictures. Scott all but confirmed Cannon as the father of her baby when she posted a since-deleted maternity photo of the baby with the caption: Zen S. Cannon.
"Trust me there's a lot of people that I could've gotten pregnant that I didn't," said Cannon. "The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant." He also compared himself to a seahorse. "I'm like a seahorse out here. That's just the way I'm procreating," said Cannon.
In a 2017 interview with Howard Stern, Cannon shared that his desire to have kids stemmed from his battle with lupus and subsequent consideration of his mortality. "When you experience near-death situations [and] life-threatening situations, it's honest. it's real," Cannon told Stern. "I feel like, yo, I'm running out of time. Every time I think I'm doing good, then I gotta go back to the f**king hospital." When asked if he feared death, Cannon said, "I don't fear it. I welcome it." Cannon said coming to terms with his mortality really jolted him. "I got to a space now where it's like I'm probably gonna die sooner than most people. I mean, that's what the doctors said. But I'm living life like 'F**k! I might die in the morning. Why wear condoms? I might not be here tomorrow,'" said Cannon.
Just a week before Alyssa Scott gave birth to Zen, Cannon welcomed twin sons, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, with Abby De La Rosa on June 14. He also welcomed daughter Powerful Queen in December 2020 with Brittany Bell, with whom he also shares a 4-year-old son. Cannon is also a father to 10-year-old twins with ex-wife Mariah Carey — son Moroccan and daughter Monroe. Cannon still shares a warm relationship with Mariah Carey and added that she's the only person he'd marry again.
"I don't believe in marriage.' But, s***, it was Mariah Carey," said Cannon about his marriage to her, reported Newsweek. "Whatever she say, I'm with it. If she wanted to say we was going to the moon, I'm like, 'Let's go.'" He added that he'd only get married to her again. "I know I'll never be in a relationship again. I know I'll never be married again. If I was to do it again, it would be to her. It would be Mariah," he said.
