The bride and groom walked up to the altar and vowed to be each other's forever. But what happened next was unexpected!

The moment you become one with the love of your life, in front of your family, friends, and Almighty God is one of the most emotional and life-changing moments. Many a time, people go out of their way to make it the most beautiful day of their lives. Witnessing two people exchanging vows and promising to love and nurture each other forever also fills one's heart with love and compassion.
But it is said that the little things make the deepest impacts on a person. What Jefferson did for his bride Jessica, is a simple gesture with a heartwarming meaning. After Jefferson and Jessica exchanged vows, he turned towards a guest and did something that made his new bride break down into tears but it only made the ceremony much more meaningful and joyous.
The Portuguese couple fell in love and decided to get married. And when the day actually arrived, the groom showed in a unique way how much their love means to him. They wrote their vows and exchanged them with each other. But when the ceremony was done, he said something to his bride that she would forever remember. He said he loved someone else and turned to her, leaving Jessica in tears.
While everyone was trying to figure out what was happening, he turned to Jessica's daughter behind him. Yes! In his speech, he said that he is not only sharing his life with Jessica but also her 8-year-old daughter Giovanna. He vowed to love and care for her like he would for Jessica. Both of them then turned to the little girl and Jefferson read out the list of things he would do for her as her dad.
"If I could ask God anything, it would be to have you as my daughter. I would be the proudest father in the world to have such a beautiful, intelligent, and educated daughter like you," Jefferson told her with tears in his eyes, reports Newsner.
Giovanna smiled with watery eyes. Her new dad looked her in the eye and promised to love and support her as he did her mother. At this moment, Jessica and all the guests present in the ceremony broke down into tears. It was indeed a rare occasion; we witness couples exchanging vows and promising a lifetime with them, all the time. But a wedding ceremony that would truly bring out the essence of love is rare.
When a mother decides to spend her life with the man she loves and allows her daughter to call that man her father, she would want to be sure. As a mother, Jessica would want her daughter to have a secure and prosperous life, come what may. Therefore, with the support and care of a man like Jefferson, who did not shy away from accepting his bride fully and proudly, she could definitely make that happen.
"I also give you love, my love, to take care of you, to always protect you, and to not let anything bad happen to you," Jefferson said to his daughter.
After he was done speaking, Giovanna took the mic from her new father and thanked him with tears in her eyes, accepting him as her real dad and promising to love him.
