Harry and Meghan exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey on May 19, 2018, as the whole world watched them in awe. Right from her dress to makeup to her ring, royal watchers couldn't talk enough about almost every aspect of one of the most anticipated weddings of the British royal family and probably the world.

It may have been one of the most exquisite weddings of recent times, but for the couple, it was the day when their souls were tied together in the presence of God almighty and their families. Therefore, their choicest take away from the wedding was something way beyond the materialism.

Meghan Markle walked down the aisle to a very special song picked the groom himself. “[It] was actually Harry’s choice entirely and I think a really beautiful piece,” Meghan revealed in a personal recording for a special exhibition at Windsor Castle in the fall of 2018 (via PEOPLE). “I can retrace that entire walk down the aisle listening to it. It really is so special for us and I think it’s one of those things we’ll treasure forever.”

The song was George Frideric Handel’s “Eternal Source of Light Divine” and it was performed on the day by Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas. “I was looking for something completely different,” reveals Harry in the same series of recordings. “I ended up stumbling across this piece of music, something that epitomizes the whole day, the whole feeling that I have for her, and this incredibly impactful music with no organ whatsoever, with a soloist who actually did the most incredible job.”

Musicians from BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the English Chamber Orchestra, and the Philharmonia accompanied Thomas when Meghan walked down the aisle alone for the first half before Prince Charles took her arm and took her to the altar where his younger son was waiting.

“Wherever we are, whatever we’re doing, we can close our eyes, listen to that music and take ourselves straight back to that moment, it’s a beautiful thing for both of us,” says Harry.

The exhibit, “A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” opened at Windsor Castle in October 2018, which allowed people to see the couple’s wedding outfits for the first time since their nuptials. Curator Caroline de Guitaut said the exhibition has been just as hugely personal to Harry and Meghan as their wedding. “They made it very personal to them while at the same time acknowledging that it was going to a huge day and it some ways that made it more intimate for them,” she said.

The Sussexes have since moved to Los Angeles but still maintain their Frogmore Cottage residence in Windsor, according to PEOPLE. That speaks volumes about their attachment to their home.

The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary at home with their one-year-old son Archie. Harper's Bazaar reported that the couple took the day off of work to enjoy a "lovely" family moment with Archie.

"The day will simply be quality time with one another and as a family," a source close to the couple told the outlet. "They're not going to be doing any work and made sure they have no meetings or calls in the diary." Friends of the Duke and Duchess previously told ELLE.com that the couple has been spending a "happy and love-filled time" in quarantine with Archie.

Meghan and Harry celebrated their first wedding anniversary at Frogmore Cottage, less than two weeks after Meghan gave birth to their son. The couple shared a video featuring unseen photos from their wedding ceremony on their then-active Sussex Royal Instagram handle. Alongside the video they wrote, "Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. Each of you made this day even more meaningful."

We wish Harry and Meghan a very happy second anniversary and pray for their lifelong togetherness!
