Rock musician Ozzy Osbourne has said that he is alive only because of his wife, and for that, he is forever grateful to her. If not for her, he would have already been dead, he revealed during an interview with Independent

He also shared the secret to his long-lasting marriage with Sharon Osbourne. “Love, I suppose,” the musician answered. “If it wasn’t for Sharon, I’d be dead.”

He then admitted how he had to battle his drug issue, but added that he had completely sobered up now. “I was doing f***ing huge amounts of drugs and booze. I never stopped. People wouldn’t know if I was gonna go through the door, the roof or the window. Now I don’t drink or smoke or f***ing do any of that s***. I’m f***ing boring!”

Ozzy first met Sharon—with whom he recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary—when she was 18 years old. At the time, her dad was the manager of Black Sabbath. Twelve years later, they went on to get married in 1982 and welcome three kids of their own—Aimée, Kelly, and Jack, according to PEOPLE

The pair have been through so much together; more recently being several recent health scares including COVID-19. In June, Sharon revealed she was heading to Los Angeles to be by her husband's side while he went through a significant surgery.

A source told Page Six that Osbourne was going to be “having the pins in his neck and back realigned from when he had a fall back in 2019 … He’s been in a lot of pain.” The 73-year-old musician has battled Parkinson’s disease for several years now and his movement has been affected by the disease. But he's had his family beside him through it all.

Apart from health issues, the Osbournes have also been affected by cheating scandals over the years, too. After being married for 33 years the couple briefly split in 2016 while rumors circulated that Ozzy had an affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.

In a statement, Ozzy admitted that he cheated on his then-wife with many women. He also revealed that he had been dealing with sex addiction for six years. But the couple worked through it and patched things up rather quickly. A source revealed that the couple had been going to therapy and worked hard on their relationship in becoming stronger.

In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy spoke about his affairs and said, "It's a rock 'n' roll thing — you rock and you roll. You take the good with the bad. When I was a crazy f***er, I'm lucky she didn't walk out. When I said, 'Don't get caught by your missus,' I'm not proud of all that s***," he said. "I upset my wife and I upset my family and I made a lot of shock and shame. I love my wife, and it made me realize what a f****** idiot I've been."

But, as they say, all's well that ends well!
