Ozzy Osbourne has not been seen in public for many months since announcing that he has Parkin 2 - a form of Parkinson's.
With the pandemic forcing most of us into living indoors thanks to the lockdown in various states in the US, a lot of things we used to take for granted have changed. For instance, even a visit to a salon has to be carefully considered now. This has forced many people to embrace their au natural look.
Many celebrities have accepted their natural hair color and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, 71, is one of them. The singer, who usually sports jet black hair was seen in natural silver hair while going on a shopping trip with wife Sharon, 67. The British-American TV personality debuted her new white hair in February 2020.
Celebrity colorist Jack Martin was quoted as saying by Today, "Sharon has 100% white hair and she was coloring her hair once a week dark vibrant red for the past 18 years. She explained to me that she wanted to do this transformation long time ago but every time she attempts it ends up with a disaster... It took me a total of 8 hours from start to finish to get her to a platinum blonde so she doesn’t have to be committed to coloring her hair once a week anymore."
Sharon looks amazing and now Ozzy also has let go of his iconic hair. He was seen wearing a black T-shirt while Sharon picked up some items when they had gone shopping in California. The heavy metal singer has been out of the public eye since revealing he was diagnosed with Parkin 2, a form of Parkinson's disease. It can't be cured, but there are treatments to minimize symptoms, reported the Sun UK.
The couple was also seen in photos shared by Jack Osbourne, 34. He had been on a vacation with girlfriend Aree Gearhart, his parents, and his three daughters — Pearl, 8, Andy Rose, 5, and Minnie Theodora, 2, whom he shares with ex-wife Lisa Stelly. "Vacation vibes! #Summer2020," Jack captioned the Instagram post.
Sharon and Ozzy's daughter Kelly also had a productive lockdown and lost a lot of weight. She lost 85 lbs and admitted undergoing a gastric sleeve operation, which reduces the size of one's stomach. "All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago," she said, sharing her weight loss journey. The TV personality said that she is a size 2 now. "Yes, I'm bragging because I worked hard and it feels so good!" she wrote on social media, according to Goodhousekeeping.
"I was called fat and ugly in the press almost my entire life… I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self-esteem," she said. "It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way. I was so angry about the things people said about me. I truly believe it's the main reason I turned to Vicodin and ended up in rehab three times. I just hated myself."
Apart from being honest and forthcoming about her struggles, she is also open about her father's health. Back in March, she had revealed that her father was having a hard time staying home. "Seeing after one treatment of stem cell what has happened and the progress that he's made is mind-blowing," she said, as quoted by Fox News. "He wants to get up. He wants to do things. He wants to be part of the world again. He's walking better. He's talking better. His symptoms are lessening. He is building the muscle strength back that he needs after his spine surgery."
"Everything is starting to fall into place now and it has given us so much hope,” the Fashion Police alum continued. "We are very grateful to the doctors that are helping him. He's ready to get out of the house and now he can't get out of the house. He keeps saying to me, 'I've been on quarantine for almost two years, and now I'm feeling better and the world is on quarantine.'"
