Kyle and Charlene Savage are survived by their children 14-year-old Knico and 17-year-old Kyle Jr.
Two teenage boys are now forced to face a life without their parents after Kyle Savage Sr. and Charlene Savage died in a car crash in Maryland on Saturday.
Kyle and Charlene (who also goes by Charlie) Savage were killed early Saturday morning just after 2:30 a.m. "At approx. 2:40 am, a vehicle was traveling on Annapolis Road and for reasons that remain under investigation left the roadway, striking a pole then catching on fire," the Prince George's County Police Department wrote on Twitter. "Two victims were pronounced dead on scene." The parents are survived by their children, 14-year-old Knico and 17-year-old Kyle Jr.
"We know it’s a long journey because we’re devastated," Charlene's sister Linda Hunter told WUSA 9. "But we know God will get us through this because God has a plan. Even though we may not know what His plan was. we know He had prepared us and Charlie’s boys for what’s next." Hunter told FOX station WTTG that the couple's eldest son, Kyle Jr., is preparing to graduate from DeMatha Catholic High School, while their youngest, Knico, will begin high school in the fall. "They know the love and support they have behind them," she said. "Their strength and the courage through this, even more so than some of the adults in the family, has been amazing."

As the community mourned such an unimaginable tragedy, they did not just sit by idly. Just two days after the couple lost their lives in the fiery car crash, their friends raised nearly $150,000 for their two teenage boys. A Facebook campaign, "Help support Kyle Jr. go to college this fall❤️," aims to provide financial support for Kyle Jr. and Knico, and was started by the couple's friend Kester Irwin Hanley Cross. "The devil took their parents away but the God in us gives us resources to support the 2 left of this Fantastic Four," Cross wrote in the description for the page.

Hunter also recalled that her sister, who was one of 12 siblings, was an amazing mother and always opened her heart and home to those she loved. "She would want us to live our lives to the fullest," Hunter said. "Don’t take any day for granted, don’t worry about the petty things, because there’s so much beauty, so much love, and Kyle and Charlie radiated that.” DeMatha Catholic High School also released a statement saying, "The DeMatha community is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the parents of senior Kyle Savage early Saturday morning. Our prayers are with Kyle, his brother, and his family. Our counselors have been in touch with Kyle and we will continue to assist and console him and his family during this most difficult time."
