Jennifer Aniston is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and there is no stopping her. She made a comeback to television in 2019 and shows no signs of slowing down.
The poor-little-daddy's-rich-girl from Friends has come a long way since the famous sitcom became a phenomenon. In an industry, that is known for having short shelf life for female actors, 50-year-old Jennifer Aniston is continuing to change the game by creating and starring in one hit project after the other.
This year alone, she starred in and co-exec produced both the Netflix hit film Murder Mystery and Apple TV+’s The Morning Show, which was her return to TV. The actor, who has been named one of People magazine's People of the Year along with three other cover stars said that 2019 taught her what she's "capable of." The actor's comments during her interview with People magazine shows exactly how strong and tough she is. Aniston made it clear that she doesn't take no for an answer.
"The words 'I dare you' or 'No' always make me kind of go, 'Oh, okay. Well, let’s just see'," she told the magazine.
The Rumor Has It actor has a lot to be grateful for in 2019 after her Murder Mystery broke records for Netflix. It had the biggest opening weekend after it was watched by 30.8 million accounts, according to People. "I wake up every day grateful," she told People.
While she's acing her work life, when it comes to love, the 50-year-old beauty is currently single after her marriage to Justin Theroux ended in 2018. But, she's still "open" to love and hasn't lost faith in finding her happy ending with a partner.
What makes her still believe in it? "Because it’s fantastic. It’s absolutely a beautiful thing. I mean I also think it’s the way we really get to know ourselves by being vulnerable enough to let love in.”
Even with two failed marriages and heartbreaks, her belief in love stands strong. "Even when it’s scary, even when it hurts. It’s always going to be worth it," she said. Her words reflect how mature and positive she is as a person. "I also feel for people that have really calloused up around it and just won’t let it in anymore. What missed opportunities. I’ve loved many people. And I love that even the cracks in those loves are still beautiful. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for each and every one of them."
Just like the fictional role she played in Friends, Aniston has a tight group of friends, including her ex-husband, Theroux. She keeps them close and entertains them at her home during the important points of her life. She celebrated her 50th birthday, Thanksgiving, and, Christmas with her closest friends. Her first husband Brad Pitt had made an appearance during the Christmas party, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"My friendships keep me true and they keep me real… And vice versa," she said. "It’s a beautiful exchange," she added.
When you are a person as well-rounded as her, who has great personal relationships with those she loves, and a healthy relationship with her work, it comes from a space of confidence within. And, when asked when it was that she started believing in herself she said it was in her 20s. "By getting honest with myself in terms of my relationship with my family," she told People. "Speaking my truth to them without fear and therefore my work reflected that. And then Friends came. If there were any naysayers in my family, ‘This will never… you’ll never make a dime.’ Just watch me. Don’t threaten me that way. God knows now I’m going to make a couple of dimes," said the incredibly strong woman.
Aniston is the kind of role model that every woman needs in their life to keep on believing in themselves and staying inspired. Her versatile skills keep her one of the best in her field, and people continue to love her for her charm.
