"It's not how old you are - it's how bold you are in life. I love you with all my heart," his wife wrote in a birthday tribute to the actor.
Pierce Brosnan, the former James Bond actor went out for further enjoyable activities with his mother May, and his second wife Keely Shaye Smith at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica after celebrating his 70th birthday at Nobu Malibu. As he left the restaurant with the two most important women in his life, Pierce was dressed in a navy-blue suede shirt over a black top, a jaunty patterned scarf, brown pants, and dark brown boots. Meanwhile, his wife, the 59-year-old documentary director looked gorgeous in an off-white eyelet sheath over a slip dress, a coordinating shawl, and white high-heeled Chanel sandals.
Keely had a brown pocketbook with brown embroidered flowers on it. Her brunette hair was neatly tied back into an updo. Since they first met on a beach in Mexico in 1994, the Malibu-based pair, who have been married for 21 years, have been inseparable.
Keely took to Instagram to wish her husband with a picture writing, “Happy Birthday my darling. Wishing you a blessed, bountiful, and adventurous new trip around the sun. It's not how old you are - it's how bold you are in life. I love you with all my heart." Talking about his age and life the actor previously told Vanity Fair, "At this time in life as I adventure to my 70th year...I feel joy, happiness, and creation. Art and my family have played a big part," in a feature on May 16.
The younger son of Pierce and Smith, singer Dylan Brosnan, 26, of Raspberry Blonde, didn't post anything, but Paris Brosnan did to mark his birthday with an Instagram slideshow. "Happy 70th to the creator @piercebrosnanofficial; more life, more art, more blessings," the 22-year-old LMU grad wrote. In the comments, Brosnan replied, "Love you dearly my sons... my gratitude abounds."
The two-time Golden Globe nominee, who is now a grandpa of four, lost his first wife Cassandra Harris, and daughter Charlotte to ovarian cancer. However, their sons Chris, 50, and Sean, 39, are doing well.
The solo art exhibition 'So Many Dreams' by self-taught painter Pierce is now on view at a Los Angeles gallery at 434 N La Brea Avenue through May 21. The actor curated the exhibition, which included 50 paintings, 100 drawings, script drawings, linocuts, NFTs, and a brief documentary movie created by Dylan. Keely told the entertainment outlet Vanity Fair that Pierce's painting is "deeply personal," and that his fans would like to see "this other creative side of him." She added, "He always sets up a studio and paints wherever he goes and on every movie shoot he visits. The result is what you see at the exhibition."
