Being each other's friend is the secret ingredient for their long-lasting marriage.
Pierce Brosnan was spotted with his wife Keely Shaye Smith having dinner in Giorgio Baldi, an upscale restaurant in Santa Monica on Thursday, February 2. The affectionate duo was spotted coming out of the restaurant holding each other's hands. In a true gentlemanly gesture, the James Bond star gently helped his wife cross the road.
The actor looked suave as always in a navy outfit with a zip-up jacket and matching pants. The almost-70-year-old paired the ensemble with black leather shoes. His wife wore a black top and skirt with embellishments paired with a strand of green beads around her neck. The two couldn't look more in love!
The couple first met in 1994 and got married in 2001. They have been together since and share two sons, Dylan, 25, and Paris, 21. Pierce has one child, Sean, from his previous marriage with his first wife of 11 years actress Cassandra Harris who died from ovarian cancer in 1991. The actor adopted Harris' two children, Charlotte and Christopher.
Brosnan is an extremely loving family man. At the New York premiere of Black Addamn last year where Brosnan played a superhero, Keely told PEOPLE, "He's a superhero at home, so why not on the big screen too?" Keely shared that it's his kindness that makes him a superhero at home as well. "He has a big heart, generous, warm, kind heart," she said.
Being each other's friend is the secret ingredient for their long-lasting marriage. "Solving problems day in, year after year, liking each other, getting on with each other," Brosnan mentioned of keeping his marriage healthy. "Being best friends," Keely added. Pierce once gushed about his wife in a post as he wished her a happy birthday adding "I love you dearly. So many years of love, life, work and play. Onwards we go!"

In September 2022, Brosnan, and his sons Dylan and Paris appeared together in a feature on GQ, where the young Brosnans opened up about the influence their famous father has had on them. The James Bond actor was at the height of his fame when Dylan and Paris were growing up, and they recall that, through it all, he taught them a lot about "preparation, passion, confidence, showing up on time." Dylan has learned a lot of important lessons from his dad, but the most important one is, "Don't be afraid to make fun of yourself."

The two siblings grew up on film sets and in their family home in Kauai, Hawaii before they moved to Los Angeles during their teen years. The two consider their time in Hawaii to be the most normal time of their life, with Dylan likening it to the movie Stand By Me. "A bunch of kids running around a forest, looking for something to do, riding bicycles down the street, going to caves and swimming and surfing and stuff," he said "I would be there and then come here for a few days."
