The singer, 35, was nominated in the awards' best original song category.
Rihanna did lift our moods up when she entered the Oscars 2023 dressed in a sheer, form-fitting gown and she showed off her baby bump. This is her first high-profile public appearance since last month's Super Bowl. The singer, who was nominated in the awards' best original song category, wore a leather bra and maxi skirt combo, by designer label Alaïa, layered over a mesh turtleneck. She completed the eye-catching look with pops of bright red on her lips and nails, as per CNN.
The singer, 35, who is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, later performed her song Lift Me Up, from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and changed into another belly-baring ensemble by Maison Margiela. The crystal-embellished black bra and floral pants set with golden accents were custom-made for her by the label's creative director, John Galliano, and were completed with elbow-reaching black leather gloves.
For her third look of the night, Rihanna switched into a custom mint green bustier and matching skirt by Bottega Veneta. She then posed for pictures with A$AP Rocky before rejoining the crowd to watch the rest of the ceremony. After her performance, Rihanna's boyfriend, A$AP Rocky (née Rakim Mayers), was seen lovingly supporting the Grammy winner by raising his glass to her. The pair, already parents to a 9-month-old son, are currently expecting their second baby together.
Earlier this month, Rihanna shared an adorable photo of her infant son, jokingly revealing that he was crying because he "found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him." The Instagram post also featured a video of the singer's little boy sitting in her lap as she showed him the music video for Lift Me Up. " MR. MAYERS ❤️" wrote Rocky in the comments section, as per PEOPLE.
Last month, Rihanna gave a historic performance for her first Super Bowl Halftime Show, where she announced her pregnancy, as per Harpers Bazaar. "When I first got the call to do it again this year, I was like, 'You sure?' Like, I'm three months postpartum, like, should I be making major decisions like this right now? Like, I might regret this," she said during the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show press conference. "But when you become a mom, there's something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you can do anything."

As per Cosmopolitan, Rocky also gushed about Rihanna and his life with her and their son in January to Apple Music 1, calling it “heaven.” He added, “It’s so unexplainable. It’s just one of those things.” He continued, “I’m a member of our club now, like the dad club. You see a dad, you see me. I’m playing on, I’m a full dad now. Being outside and working and being creative, drives more energy for you…to think and soak things up like a sponge now that I’m a dad because I have a whole ’no other perspective. But it honestly helps you get home to your family and get home to your baby. And I can’t even explain it, man. You come home to heaven every day. I’m so thankful. God is good, man.”
