Rumer Willis is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas. The 34-year-old is the oldest daughter of Bruce Willis, 67, and Demi Moore, 60. She was recently spotted sporting an oversized white sweater and matching sweatpants as she stepped out in West Hollywood for a stroll on Sunday, February 26.
Rumer has always pictured herself as a mother and opened up about her excitement on an episode of Peggy Rometo and Kimberly Van Der Beek's podcast Bathroom Chronicles, according to PEOPLE. "It's like one of those weird things that I know sometimes people have such clarity about, like 'Oh, I want to be a musician, I want this,' and it was never a question for me that I wanted to be a mom," she said. "And that just felt like such a divine purpose and something that when I started thinking about it, felt like such joy," she added.
The House Bunny actress remembered a conversation with her boyfriend where she was sharing her exciting experience at the farmers' market. "I was talking to my partner the other day and saying, 'You know, when I go to the farmers market, I call it church because I leave and I feel so excited,' " she said. "And the idea of being able to bring my kids in like a little cart or something brings me so much delight, I can't even ... I can't wait."
While Rumer is joyful to bring a new life into this world she and her family are also coming to terms with Bruce Willis' recent diagnosis with a rare form of dementia. The couple's baby will be the Sixth Sense star's first grandchild.
Family members of actor Bruce Willis are supporting him while he battles frontotemporal dementia. The Die Hard actor's family, which includes his wife Emma Heming Willis and children Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, 8, as well as his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, 34, Scout, 31 and Tallulah, 29, have been focused on assisting him in living "as full a life as possible," the family said in a statement.
Sources even shared that Bruce is extremely excited to be a grandfather. A source shared with PEOPLE that Willis is "happy" about his new role spending more time at home with loved ones. "He is happy about becoming a grandpa," the insider told the outlet. "He loves having a big family. They are all spending Christmas together. Bruce is enjoying not working and having more family time. He likes being around his girls more," added the source.
